Well the starving children that we found were fed, their power and water supplies,was or is being restored or installedin the first place, their schools rebuilt, and they are given a gift of personal freedom unimaginable under Saddam Hussein. So, yes, starving children I think are always a concern of decent people the world over. Not one of us has opportunity or ability to rescue them all. But we sure can do what we can do. And if that is one effect of many good things that can come out of the Iraq war, so much the better.
Oh, and Germany didn't fire the first shot at the USA in WWII either. But we sort of thought it needed to be dealt with anyway, just like Iraq needed to be dealt with.
