P.S. Don't forget to bring your bathing suits!

{If you're inclined to wear one, hehe}

Misti I cannot wait I want to feel soft warm air and see those beautiful sunrises and sunsets. I love the huge piled up clouds that hang over the water. Sheesh, I am killin my self here stuck in this iced in apartment complex. But the temp is supposed to go up tomorrow and Gulf air returns to melt the ice.

Misti, your tales of warm, sunny weather are not amusing up here.

Can't wait to check it out.

I would look a lot like my pic too, Mapleleaf, but I've put on some weight since it was taken.

rae, Anything more I can help out with? I might go to the London Gathering, so if you need something, I can drop something from the plane as we pass Florida. Wink c.i.

Well the best way to recognize us coldweather people is sooo easy, jes look for the couple that look like a pair of bedsheets! We'll be so pale, y'all gonna need sunglasses in a dark room when we're there... But I guess that there will be a slight change in color till the actual Gathering!

Are we there yet?

Yes, I will probably be red after two days! With spots! (I have a lot of freckles...)

Well, I'll go swimming tonight. I am trying to get at least a little bit in shape for the gathering. Won't do a thing for the skin colour, though.

It hit 80 degrees today, but it is still dry, thank goodness! I walked to the post office to mail a letter (about 2 miles) went to the gym, and walked back. If my posts are not too coherent, that's why. Confused

It was wonderful walking though. Blue skies, puffy white clouds, and a delightful breeze. Can't wait to share it with y'all! Very Happy

Rog- Pretty good! Actually, IMO, April and October are the best months in Florida. Warm enough, but not too hot, and pretty dry!

Harrumpf! Climate is what you expect; weather is what you get.

Pretty dry is relative. Wonder where I can pick up a seersucker rat suit on the cheap.

Hear the one about the mathematician that drownd in a lake with an average depth of 4'?

Thannks for the link. Now I know what to expect.

Rog I was in Florida for a wedding in 1998 and the weather was great I thought. Warm but not hot, nothing like TX or NM in the summer.

Roger, we have some serious shopping to do. Rat suits just don't make it in Florida, nor do shorts and argyle socks. EhBeth hasn't been around lately with her fabulous fashion tips, but you will be known for your sartorial splendor after a few days in Cocoa Beach!!

Urs and BigD, if you are the typical blonde of Sweden and Germany, you will absolutely need strong sun block. Believe me, I have sunburned in as little as 30 minutes on a hot day. No fun and a good way to ruin a vacation!

This is getting so exciting!! Just a little over a month!!!

Diane, Your mention of sun block tickled my memory cells about my return from South Africa last year. Grandma, my wife's mother, was living with us (she is again), and when I got home from the trip, I said "hello, grandma!" She asked, "who are you?" She thought I was a black man. Wink c.i.

I remember when we went to Miami a couple of years ago in March. On the bus from the airport to the car rental company I could not move at all except for putting my hair up. I just stood there and felt like my jeans were melting into my skin. It was great! We had ordered some boring car category from Germany, changed that to a convertible right away and off we went!

Diane, no, I am not blonde. I am a curious mixture of dark hair, dark eyes and freckles. So at first glance I look like I should get a nice tan - but I just get spots :-)
