Yeah, thanks a lot, Mapleleaf. You should really contact Rae for room rates, though. She may or may not still be able to come up with the best rate you ever heard of. Kind of depends on availablity, from what I understand.
My boss loves me, but not that much. I've reached my quota for favors, but will check with her on Saturday ~ she's out of town tomorrow.
Even if I can't get the employee discount, we'll most likely be able to do a discounted rate.

My boss and I went through his calender today. He looked at those two weeks and said 'What do you mean - vacation? Why are you on vacation?' 'Well, because we are going to Florida. I could also go there as a business trip but I guess the company wouldn't be too happy.' He agreed...

I will have a car; so, I could bring others to the motel...depends on the number of people and luggage which could fit in economy car.

I don't mind taking people to the airport, but I should tell you I hope to return the car at 10:00 AM.
Bigdice, I would be interested in discussing the cost of flying to your area, housing, small communities to live in for a week, etc.

It is only a two day drive from Fort Worth, Texas to Florida, URS, I plan to stop in New Orleans for one day and then on to Florida. In Florida I will be visiting in the Miami area as well as a trip on the way home to Savannah, Georgia. It will be much easier to drive. And way cheaper.
Yes, JD, that makes sense. Especially with the stops you are planning. BigDice keeps telling me how much he liked New Orleans. And we went to Savannah six years ago. Very beautiful town. Sounds like you will be having a great time.
