Atheist have a very high opinion of themselves...and of atheism.

Many of them...like you, Hinge...have a very low opinion of theism.

But atheism, for the most part, is just the opposite side of the coin that is theism/atheism.

Two sides of one coin...both belief systems leading their adherents around.

Agnostics do not bury their heads. Agnostics simply acknowledge the truth.

You ought to give it a try. You might find it satisfying.

For me, the creepiest thing is how obsessed they are. It's not enough that they babble at each other about it, all day, every day, but that they want to shove it in other people's faces. You see way too much of that bullshit at Facebook.

I love the fact that atheists use a silly religion with all its faults...as a reason to suppose their blind guess that there are no gods is scientific, reasonable, and logical.

I truly get a kick out of that!

That is why most atheists want to debate Christians rather than agnostics. Easy pickings...and the perception that the easy pickings confirm their guesses.

That one is pretty high-larious. Most people seem to think that atheists are born fully armed and amored from the brow of Dawkins, like Athena from the vow of Zeus. But, like the Brad Pitt quote suggests, they are in fact recovered from early religious "instruction." Of course atheists have a high degree of knowledge of "scripture," that knowledge undoubtedly contributed heavily to their permanent loss of religious faith.

I noticed that early on a2k and maybe on abuzz, that the non believers seemed to be very smart about bible relationed matters.
