Yes. I have a habit of reacting to the presence of facts that way.

the fact that her security was so lax that there is no way to tell who hacked her

You have no evidence to support what you claim is a fact.

"But, given the nature of the system and of the actors potentially involved, we assess that we would be unlikely to see such direct evidence."

There is no evidence that any hackers penetrated her system. Lack of evidence is not evidence they did hack her server.

It's really funny that the Democrats are trying to portray security so lax that hackers could grab all the data without leaving a trace, as meaning that there were no hackers.

I know they are trying to defend the indefensible, but really.

parados wrote:
What evidence do you have that her system was hacked and no trace was left? You have the exact same evidence as if her system was never hacked.

That's because the security on Hillary's system was so bad that hackers could escape without leaving any trace.

Your arguments on this issue are fatuous and, I believe deliberately deceptive.

I don't think there is deliberate deception on Parados' part. Hillary's behavior was indefensible, and he is trying to defend it. Defending the indefensible is a tough thing to do and you usually end up making bad arguments.

@ossobucotemp,
Perhaps I'm imprudent, but I think the chances of Trump winning are very small. Of course, what does alarm the mind is that there is any chance at all he might win, not to mention that a lot of smart people are more worried than I am.

@Blickers,
Hard to know what Jeb might write down when he does vote and hard to know if he'd be honest about his vote, if asked.

I've had years of interaction with Parados, who is actually the only person on a2k to have ever found facts that I was mistaken about in my posts (and in fact has done this multiple times over the years).

It's just my instinct. I think virtually all incorrect statements given on a2k are given in good faith. And sometimes statements that are accused of being untrue are actually true. If I could wave a magic wand and remove all accusations of lies from a2k, I think it would result in a massive improvement.

I've never heard it alleged that Parados is female. If there is some sort of notification about this somewhere, I will try to remember in the future.

I see a more powerful movement than Bernie Sanders.

Can I hear a hurray For Jill Stein and Nina Turner? Can you imagine 2 ladys on the most progressive ticket ever? Will you at least consider this idea after Hitlary is arrested?

I think it may be on her birthday by a male stripper who impersonates a police officer.

How would I know for sure if she will be arrested? Do you think that we are less manipulated than other countries that we are fed propaganda about? or do you just eat every word that proceeds out of the mouths of our oligarchies? Gods

Election Update: Clinton’s Bounce Appears Bigger Than Trump’s

Nate Silver

Quote:
UPDATE (Aug. 1, 6:11 p.m.): Hillary Clinton’s post-convention lead over Donald Trump has continued to grow as more polls have come in, according to our models. Check our forecasts for the latest numbers.

Initial polls conducted after the Democratic National Convention suggest that Hillary Clinton has received a convention bounce. In fact, it appears likely that Clinton’s bounce will exceed Donald Trump’s, which measured at 3 to 4 percentage points. Thus, Clinton will potentially exit the conventions in a stronger position than she entered them, perhaps also making up for some of the ground she lost to Trump earlier in July. This is good news for Clinton, but we’ll need to wait a few weeks to see if she can sustain her bounce before we can conclude that the race has been fundamentally changed.

@revelette2,
Latest poll: Clinton 52, Trump 43. Thats a pretty good margin, but I want that to increase to high double digits.

This is actually a very explanatory analogy to help us understand why a lot of Republican leaders cannot or will not bring themselves to a courageous denunciation of Trump.

But didn't you just say you were voting third party?

@snood,
His vote doesn't make a difference in California, he can vote third party and still wish for Trump to lose without any logical inconsistency. What he does will have no influence on the election so he could vote for a unicorn if he wanted.

I'm not going to bother voting at all (and if I did it would be third party, as the symbolic vote would not affect the election while I get to vote for someone who better represents my own positions). My vote would be in Texas or California where my votes will never make a difference. But I still want Hillary to win and am hoping the polling data stays in her favor too.

Actually the people denouncing Trump due to Democratic demagogy are cowards. The brave people are the ones standing up to DNC hate and saying that Trump is in the right.

@oralloy,
You are a living example of the episode in Seinfeld's "Bizzaro World." Where up is down and out is in.
