@blatham,

The committed Hillary voters won't change their mind but almost all election advertising is aimed at people who are on the fence. Not to mention that it helps to keep the "Hillary is dishonest" drumbeat going like Lash here is so obviously doing.

Coordinated propaganda through social media has been proven effective with the Russian propaganda effort overseas, before the Russians set the trolls loose the majority of the Serbian population wanted to join the EU. After Russian trolls, the majority are against. Since the Republican (I love Putin) Party has largely become aligned with the Kremlin on so many things, it should not be surprising that a similar effort is underway here.

@cicerone imposter,
Perhaps you didn't notice the date of that article? Updated Feb 19, 2016

Here is an updated count. 3/10/2016

Clinton has 772 pledged delegates won, Bernie has 549 pledged delegates won.

source

Pretty sure Clinton will win hands down Florida which has 214 delegates up for grabs. Even in Michigan she won 63 vs. Sanders 67. I notice no one is talking Mississippi in which she won all but 4 of 36 delegates. So really, on that night, she won way more delegates.

@revelette2,
I always confuse dates. Looking at the calendar in our bedroom, I thought it was April. My wife corrected me.

@cicerone imposter,
There really is not that much difference between 2/19 and 3/10 except in an election year primary.

@Lash,
If Bernie continues to lose in the south by double digits and eeks out narrow wins in the midwest, and west then Hillary will have 350-500 more delegates than Bernie plus the 500 super delegates. Bernie needs to start winning states by double digits if not double the vote count and I don't see that happening.

@Lash,
From your link.

Hillary’s lead over Bernie has shrunk down to 53%, while Bernie is gaining on her at 44%.

Bernie doesn't win if he trails Hillary by 9 points. From here on out he has to start beating her by 12-20 points. You can't seem to read or understand what you are posting.

@parados,
You can't seem to comprehend what it signifies to start a precipitous loss and cutting in to former strongholds.

It's ok.

When he wins, you'll get it.

I am so gratified that Hillary Clinton has finally said something I can get behind!!

I think I can swing my support behind her now.

Hillary finally gave Nancy Reagan her due credit for starting the national conversation about HIV / AIDS.

Hillary for President!

@Lash,
I only hope you'll be OK when Hillary wins the primary and later the Presidency. I know in the unlikely event she looses, I'll still be able to sleep at night. You? I worry for you.

@glitterbag,
None of the Dems dare to give Nancy and Ronnie the credit they deserve for their AIDS activism. Proud of Hillary taking the lead on it!

@Lash,
I don't remember it that way, more the opposite. Maybe they changed and I wasn't paying attention.

I'd look it up, but I don't care at this point.

@Lash,
You don't seem to comprehend that Sanders can eek out wins in Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois and still be trounced by Clinton because of Florida and Mississippi.

This is from this week. Assume Sanders gains 20 points in Ohio and 10 in Florida, who gets the most delegates for the day? You can keep whistling past the graveyard Lash but it's only getting darker and darker where you are at.

On the Democratic side, Clinton leads Sanders 63% to 33% in Ohio and 61% to 34% in Florida.

@Lash,
Actually, Hillary apologized for being wrong about how the Reagan's responded to the crisis. They ignored AIDS for years.

@ossobuco,
My memory was that on one of the days on our trip to Washington, DC, my husband and I were on one of our exploring walks, and were walking by the Ritz Hotel. We considered going in for a drink, just to do that. I don't remember if we did or didn't go in, but the problem was Reagan was staying there, and that put us both off, since he had just said or done some nasty stuff about AIDS. I think we did have that drink, that the bar wasn't all busy, we left and kept walking. I remember my anger at whatever it was he had done or said. I've had friends die of it, so I can be a little touchy on the subject. It was a time when people wouldn't touch aids patients.

@ossobuco,
Here's what I found:
Quote:
Reagan expressed skepticism in allowing children with AIDS to continue in school although he supported their right to do so, stating:

I can well understand the plight of the parents and how they feel about it. I also have compassion, as I think we all do, for the child that has this and doesn't know and can't have it explained to him why somehow he is now an outcast and can no longer associate with his playmates and schoolmates. On the other hand, I can understand the problem with the parents. It is true that some medical sources had said that this cannot be communicated in any way other than the ones we already know and which would not involve a child being in the school. And yet medicine has not come forth unequivocally and said, This we know for a fact, that it is safe. And until they do, I think we just have to do the best we can with this problem. I can understand both sides of it.[85]

@cicerone imposter,
Hmmm, that's earlier than our trip. Still, I remember that day, and having heard - or hearing that day - some dastardly thing Reagan said about it; whatever it was, it disgusted both of us.

Meantime, this article backs up what Engineer said re Hillary explaining that she misspoke, and goes into the whys and wherefores.
