The way to achieve it...it to get a grip on what is actually going on...rather than dreaming dreams that can destroy.

I'm going to vote for him in the primary. I'm going to support whoever the Dem is in the general. Nothing else makes sense to me.

We all have to do what seems right to us.

@snood,
It means 16 years of Clinton and Obama have seen us lose ground. A Hillary president would just move us further away from what we stand for. 24 years of Democrats slowly surrendering up to the moneyed interests is 24 years too many. Our Democrat politicians throw a few liberal sops to the base, while moving the agenda of big money against us.

A campaign like Bernie's is not really for liberals only. It is intended to put the nation back on its feet as a cohesive society.

@ehBeth,
When people see what it means to vote for people who don't have their best interest at heart, they will revolt against these politicians.

So if Hillary Clinton gets the nod...you guys are going to stay home rather than vote...or vote for a third party?

You think helping the Republicans to win the White House...and allowing them to further stack the SCOTUS with people like Scalia, Thomas, and Alito...who seem determined to dismantle the progressive agenda...

...seems like a much better option to you???

What are you people thinking of...if you are thinking at all?

Yeah...like "they are gonna throw all the bums out"...and then we see 97% of all incumbents being re-elected.

The "revolt" of the voting public...is wishful thinking. It is the kind of thinking that made the Occupy Movement such a resounding success.

@Frank Apisa,
#4553 time this has been said: The wildly successful Bernie Sanders campaign IS IN LARGE PART SUPPORTED BY THE OCCUPY MOVEMENT.

They are making things happen.

@edgarblythe,
When we have bigots like Trump at the top of the polls, it proves we're headed down a steep slope into mud.

I don't think it necessarily means all is going to ****. Those people -Trump supporters- have always been there, he didn't create them. He just gave them a figurehead of racist, xenophobic fascist asshat-ery they could rally behind. We don't need to follow them into the toilet unless they get Trump into office. Then, all bets are off.

@snood,
Since the majority of his supporters are the uneducated, there's no chance he's going to win anything. We'll always have uneducated ignoramus', and thankfully they're in the minority - and mostly in the south.

@snood,
Right (I say a day later), I don't ascribe it to you, just saying the whole thing, if it is a kind of movement going on, whatever the name, Bernie or none (or unelectables, greens et al) is new to me.

In a way, I see this election, more even than many others in the past, as a fear scenario. A friend and I were talking about what we would do if Trump somehow won. (I'm more relaxed since my ex but still astute person said "nah" to that as even a small possibility). Anyway - flee to Mexico? my spanish is poor and I don't want to live in some expat colony anywhere. Canada, not enough money to qualify, not present useful career altho, while old, I could potentially re geer on that). I could have moved their ten years ago, but likely not now.

Well, hey, running is, for an american, mostly a dumbo move if it's really running, and I wouldn't actually do it. I wanted to move to Italy, but also go back and forth - now some years ago, not a kind of running, more exploration. Anyway, stay and work against, in the old mode, is what to do in this kind of national mess.

Where's my super powered hair dryer? (last seen in a box to good will).

@edgarblythe,
I'm not a Hillary backer, started a thread on it quite a while ago and I agree she has - to me - toxicity.
I disagree with you in that I perceive, or maybe predict is a better word, that next time will be too late.

Same to Lash, I'll agree with a swath of her points.

A conundrum. Meantime, she keeps moving a little squidge at a time, my way.
