CJ, I've seen a couple of those out, I think it's gorgeous. Heard the CEO of my company is buying one, too.

Yes, a Bentley is so much more refined, less ostentatious than any examples from its sister marque. Why, I would never be seen in a Rolls. Tres gauche.

A '97 or '98 Turbo R, for instance, would be a wonderful addition to my stable

Ahhhh ... if only I had the energy to clear a spot in the garage for one. Its really a shame I have nowhere to house so excellent an auto. Still, we must accept, and live with, our limitations.

'Course, if I ever get that '57 Allis-Chalmers D17 narrow-front runnin' again ...

They would have to be cars I was too young to drive, or couldn't afford at the time. When the 304 V8 engine option got introduced for the AMC Gremlin some speed shops were offering 401 ci swaps, always wanted one of those modified cars. Sad I also liked the early model Firebirds, my dad had one with Ram Air. Cool Then there was the late 70s Dodge Aspen R/T and Plymouth Volare Road Runner twins, I wanted one with a 360, but all I could afford at the time was an Omni. Crying or Very sad

401-XR Gremlin

Firebird

Dream car?

There was a saying sometime ago about the ideal car:
The ideal car would be:

designed by the Italians,
engineered by the Germans,
driver comfort, heater/air conditioner/radio by the USA
Interior - leather and/ wood interior, by the English.

There was a car once that was designed by the Italians,
Maserati to be exact and the engine came from Germany.
The car "Bitter" was named after Erich Bitter, a german race car driver
who went on to manufacture cars in the late 60s, early 70s. I had one about 10 years ago, it drove nicely and the shape was superb. Leather interior also, but the airconditoner was lousy.

There was a Shelby dealer about 1/2 mile from my place. They went out of business. Sweet car, but not too many people are going to spend $100K+ on that car, compared to the other choices.

I want another nice car. It sucks when you're a car nut who loves to drive, and stuck driving an automatic Japanese sedan.

yeah well... the title said dream car Wink

I'm an ol' preppy gal. realistically I've always dreamed the husband would drive a Grand Cherokee and me a Camry and/or car of the size/cost. If income was better than that then any Lexus SUV and I'd drive a Volvo (just can see me in it ...I know they have expensive parts/maintenance). Wink

I love driving this "puppy" around. Especially on a sunny day. I just hop right in and go! I usually head straight to a crowded beach.
I get more attention than I can handle.
