No, I must disagree that that was name- calling. Here, let me illustrate the difference. Izzy was making an indirect observation that people who obsess about their guns do so because they are insecure about the size of their genitalia. He didn’t connect his comments to ‘naming’ any individual, which seems to me to be a basic requirement for name-calling.

If I was to say that you are a bottom-dwelling, brain dead, screwy, Trump buttboy, human migraine lowlife..
Now that - that - would be name-calling. See the difference?

Your language skills are very poor, most people know the difference between insults which are general, and name calling which is specific.

You really shouldn't talk about things you don't understand. Is there any way you could go back to school to brush up on remedial English?

If you go back and read the post, Izzy didn’t call an individual or a group any names. He was simply telling me that I would receive a lot of outraged feedback if I was to suggest there was a connection between gun obsession and genital insecurity.

Now if Izzy had said “ Gun nuts are all a bunch of pencil-dicked incels that live with their moms or wish they could”, that - that would be name-calling a group of people.

See the difference?
