It already looks like a train wreck, but when you factor in lipstick and eyeliner, it gets even more drastic, I reckon.

Good point, why DO Trump and Vance wear so much makeup. It hasn't stopped their train wreck.

Great question.

I wonder if anyone from the GOP has the guts to give an answer...even if it is "NO."

@Region Philbis,
I've given up completely on Susan Collins to lead the way. I've had some hopes for Lisa Murkowski, but even she seems to find ways to avoid the hard moves.

Oh, well...I guess it was difficult for people to find ways to disagree with Hitler and Stalin and Idi Amin. So in a way it is understandable. Although that "way" is essentially saying that our generation has fumbled the ball when it was our turn to carry.

Really a ******* shame!

@Frank Apisa,
Collins is hopeless. She's basically planted in that seat, too – every six years we get our hopes up and every six years she get re-elected. I don't know what the deal is with Murkowski.

What really gets me is that these senators are so chicken-**** about getting f-ing "primaried". They're all goddam multi-millionaires; it's not as if they'd starve if they lost an election. Especially if they lost by sticking up for the bed-rock principles of our constitutional democracy – it would be a mark of courage, a badge of honor. I had some hope that Tillis (NC) would refuse to vote to confirm Hegseth but I guess he got the phone call from Trump and backed down. Cassidy (LA) buckled too and ended up supporting RFK Jr. McConnell (KY) is too far gone to stand up for any newly-discovered loyalty to the rule of law. It's really pretty disgusting. Fifty-three powerful politicians in the thrall of grifting Trump and dip-**** Musk. Of course, knowing that well-armed MAGA patriots would bomb their homes shoot them might be affecting their commitment to the US Constitution.

How very true that last part.

There is a house my wife and I pass on our daily walks just a block or two from our house where the owners have very visible ANTI-Trump signs planted. We often wonder if they get any heat from the few Trumpers in our area. But good for them.
