@edgarblythe,
Unfortunately, now, they wouldn't call him a saint but just arrest him.

@giujohn,
This is typical of Frank. We he can't answer your question he reverts to dodging and deflecting and or making BS claims.

He can't answer the tax question because he has no answer but his BS about "Barons". He's pulled it with me as well. I had to continue to ask him for a few weeks, what wars have been paid for before they took place? and When was WWII fully paid for?

He never answered the questions and would try and turn it around on me. He isn't honest and doesn't play by the rules he expects others to follow.

I can answer his questions...and did. And there was no dodging, deflecting or BS claims.

Stop being so hysterical, Baldimo. It really doesn't play well.

Oh you poor boy. Am I picking on you?

Stop being such a wimp...and man up.

I have been totally honest with you...and with John.

You guys just don't handle "truth" very well.

@Frank Apisa,
If that's the case, answer the question and tax rates and who really pays the taxes in this country. Your answer to him as it has been to me... "Well I'm happy someone wants to hold their head still while the Barons slit their throats".

You call that answering questions?

Not the rich, as you seem to think, Baldimo.

Yes, they may pay more in income tax (although not their fair share)...but the vast majority of taxes are paid by the middle class. The poor can't pay them...they have no money. The rich will not pay them...they find ways to pass them on to the middle class.

So...who do you really think pays the taxes in this country?

No...I call that trying to get the attention of people who are being managed by puppeteers pulling their strings.

If you had asked if I am being successful with you...I would have acknowledged I am not. You will continue to remain a sucker for the barons.

@Baldimo,
What are you asking about taxes Baldimo? Be careful because you are going to find out it might be you that isn't being honest.

Federal income taxes make up less than 50% of federal revenues. To only discuss income taxes when talking about taxes is complete nonsense. I doubt you would let the other side only include FICA taxes when talking about who pays the most in taxes.

@parados,
The people who pay the most in income taxes are also going to pay the most in FICA taxes. If I make $20hr, and someone else makes $10hr, I'm going to be paying more in FICA taxes then they are. The same goes for income taxes.

http://www.cnbc.com/id/101264757#.

Maybe you can tell me where someone who makes less money then me is going to pay more in taxes? When it comes down to the end of the year, people such as myself are keeping the govt going. People who work min wage jobs are going to get more back in credits then they paid in the whole year. They in effect pay zero taxes.

Hummm...so you are considering yourself to be among the top 1%?

C'mon!

As Parados just mentioned...and as I alluded to...the question of taxes comes down to much more than just income taxes.

Here's an interesting article you might read:

http://ctj.org/ctjreports/2014/04/who_pays_taxes_in_america_in_2014.php#.VL1c00fF8po

It makes a hell of a lot more sense that that piece of garbage that asserts that the rich pay ALL the taxes.

Sometimes it is tough to figure out whether you actually mean the crap you write...or if you just write it because you know how to type.

This last paragraph of yours is one of those occasions.

I give you a link to CNBC and you give me a link to Citizens for Tax justice? Your bias is showing again Frank. There is no mention of where they got their #'s from. At least my link had facts from the CBO.

Here is a taste of an article by Danica Kirka of the Associated Press:

Quote:
LONDON The richest 1 percent of the population will own more than half the world's wealth by 2016, Oxfam International said in a report released as the World Economic Forum begins in Davos, Switzerland.

Oxfam said the world's richest people saw their share of global wealth jump to 48 percent last year from 44 percent in 2009. Rising inequality is holding back the fight against global poverty as the world's biggest companies lobby the U.S. and European Union for beneficial tax changes at a time when average taxpayers are still paying the bill for the financial crisis, Oxfam said.
"Do we really want to live in a world where the 1 percent own more than the rest of us combined?"

Read the rest of the article here:

When are we going to wake up?

Are we really going to demand something akin to what happened in 18th century France before we start to handle this?

Your article is crapola.

"Many taxes are regressive, meaning they take a larger share of income from poor and middle-income families than they do from the rich."

Acording to your article using simple math and not meaningless statements, people earning 14000 are federally taxed at 6.8%. Those earning 1.5 million are taxed at 24.7%

Thank you, Walter.

The "self-made" can be a bit tricky though. I'll discuss it if that designation becomes contentious.

Do your masters require you to hone in on the Income Tax...rather than looking at the bigger picture which shows you to be ill-advised to be supporting the American conservative agenda?

Fact is...MANY TAXES ARE REGRESSIVE...and do take a larger share of income from poor and middle-income families than they do from the rich...no matter what your masters tell you.

@giujohn,
It is only called regressive because it forces those on the lower side of the income brackets to actually pay for something. I lived in the lower brackets years ago, making less then 50k a year and I always got back huge tax returns, $3,000 plus each year. I now make over 80k a year and I'm lucky if I get back $500 a year. Besides my income, nothing else has changed, I can afford to go to the movies and shooting range with my kids more often, but that is about it. I haven't bought a new house, in fact I got divorced in Oct.

Our tax system is screwed and the only people who benefit are those who make tons of money and those who make very little money. For all the talk about the "Bush tax cuts for the rich", they always forget to mention that Bush also created a 10% tax bracket for lower income earners. You can never trust a lefty when it comes to taxes, they always lie and deceive.
