I now agree with the North Korean hackers. In fact, I might just hack into Sony myself just to get my $5.99 back. The whole point to this stupid movie was getting Americans to shove things up their ass. Ironically that was a big part of the plot too.

So? Were you expecting Apocalypse Now (1979) or The Manchurian Candidate (1962)?

Just curious... did you see This Is the End (2013)? If so... I'm wondering how the two comedies compare.

They put it in the news that Sony made it available through both avenues, but when I check, I get options for everything except that one. I don't know any other explanation. Censorship is the norm over here.

Yep. There's still technically a war going on, so they can still put you in jail for saying anything pro-North. Just a couple of weeks ago, they arrested two women (one Korean-American) for saying what was interpreted as praise of the North's regime. Also, they recently outlawed a pro-Left political party.

Koreans have to register with their national ID# to use the local portals, which are policed by censors. No 'net anonymity here. People are jailed every year for **** they say online. Pro-North sentiments, slander, defamation of the Prez, etc.

Given the reality of the Kaesong Industrial Complex that is hypocrisy.

No shortage of that over here, either. To be fair, though, that's pretty much true everywhere I've been. Human condition, I guess.

Oddly enough, the official line is in favor of the film. But since NK gets their knickers knotted so easily and sink ships and bomb islands in their temper tantrums, they still won't sreen it.

The same hackers who were attacking World of Warcraft, it seems.

It appears that they moved on to easier targets once WoW managed to fend them off.

I'll bet the movie is already on a dozen torrents if you really want to see it. (I didn't check to see, but it wouldn't surprise me.)
