Same damn thing as yesterday, different underwear.

Fixed my hair tooooo much. Oh well, it'll grow. In two weeks I'll love it.

The one two combo of them and then me...

I need to learn to improve it when dry...
but it's much better than the dolt cut I left the place with. I go there since they listen... but they and others dismiss the simple cut that I want and have failures of nerve. I can't really tell about this until about a half hour later. It's reasonable that they have failure of nerve, as there is nothing like it in their show and tell books. (Yaaaaaack!!!!!! I hate most of those...)

Mumbling, still in my blue hoody thing.

Do you have photos of yourself when your hair is the way you really really really like it, ossoB?

I am a sartorial god today. Black leather pants, white shirt with ruffled collar, snakeskin boots, and a large silver belt buckle that says "World Wrestling Federation" Underneath the words are two wrestlers grappling.

Oh, and on my head is a purple pimp hat with a large ostrich feather.

Yes, ehBeth... but, ha, they're packed and so is my scanner...

I'll simplify, as it is simple. I want the bottom all the way around to be level if I am sitting in a chair straight.

I want the top to be level as well.

I want the top to be 1 1/2 to two inches higher than the bottom.

This will, perforce, make a wedge. As I have naturally curly hair this will all furl about, but give an impression of moderate angled fuzz.

The best I can convey to people with scissors gives me about a one inch wedge, which basically reads as straight across.

So.... virtually always, when I get home I improve the angle of the wedge, best I can - to prevail over angle fear.

If one's hair is short this wedge is significant. If it is shoulder length, no big deal.

But I exist now in a time of let's have playful spikey bits looking rattily charming...

mine can do that by itself - it needs a wedge to have as a basis for it.

I am well aware I am a voice in the wilderness.

Not easy to communicate with someone who has radically different hair.
My hair is naturally on the lumpy side of wavy rather than full-out curly, but I know the effect you're after, ossoB.

Perhaps once you're in NM, you'll find a stylist with similar hair texture to yours that you can show a pic to - "THIS is what I mean".

That was quite a display of stream of consciousness by Osso concerning her hair concerns.

Osso -- sounds like a hair dilemma. My hair is so straight there's a hardly a wave to it, so I have no advice, but I commiserate. I'll need a haircut before Christmas.

Today I wore my comfy faded blue jeans, my favorite soft and stretchy pale blue "heathered" long-sleeved teeshirt, some new pastel striped socks that felt great all day long, New Balance running shoes with pink (!) trim & moonstone half-moon earrings. When I was cold I put on a short red wool jacket with Scandinavian ribbon trim. My hair was straight, as usual, and hung to my shoulders. Ho-hum.

(blue and red again)

Osso looks in mirror, thinks, Isabella Rosselini, eat your heart out..

looks closer, says, oh, no, bag lady, help her out to the lanai...

Still wearing the same thing, surely I must divest soon.

Summer cotton dress with a long full skirt to below knees and a black sweater over it -- just looks like a skirt + sweater. Boots. Yes, I really need some new shoes so I don't wear these to death. I LIKE them, though.
