“What sort of man casts a shadow over his friends and family? Rather than say, ‘Yes, it was me.’ He was happy to shift suspicion to the people around him to try to take the heat off himself. It made me realise he would throw anyone under the bus to save himself.’’

we judge by the law with due process.

He was not above seducing a young model by showing interest in her father’s cancer. He promised other women his mentorship and career advice before pushing them for sex acts. And he tried to use financial sleight of hand to keep his wife from finding out about his serial philandering.

Bill Cosby admitted to all of this and more over four days of intense questioning 10 years ago at a Philadelphia hotel, where he defended himself in a deposition for a lawsuit filed by a young woman who accused him of drugging and molesting her.

Even as Mr. Cosby denied he was a sexual predator who assaulted many women, he presented himself in the deposition as an unapologetic, cavalier playboy, someone who used a combination of fame, apparent concern and powerful sedatives in a calculated pursuit of young women — a profile at odds with the popular image he so long enjoyed, that of father figure and public moralist.

That makes me think that Cosby will win,

These women knew what they were doing even the two minors 16 and 18 years old

The owner of the Playboy Mansion should be locked up for distributing to minors.

And another thing, the other women knew that this man was a married man yet, some went too the man's home. room, apartment

Either they were ignorant, stupid, or just wanted fame

Bill Cosby is seeking to keep private his scheduled questioning under oath in a case involving accusations that he sexually assaulted a young woman when she was 15.

The California lawsuit was filed by the woman, Judy Huth, who says that Mr. Cosby forced her to perform a sex act on him at the Playboy Mansion in 1974.

The deposition, scheduled for Oct. 9, was allowed to go forward in July, when the California Supreme Court denied Mr. Cosby’s petition for review. Last month, a judge set dates for Mr. Cosby’s deposition and that of Ms. Huth.

Mr. Cosby’s lawyers say they have filed a motion for a protective order seeking to keep his questioning private. Such an order would keep the deposition private between the parties.

A judge ruled on Wednesday to not dismiss Judy Huth's civil suit against Bill Cosby, in which she accuses the 78-year-old comedian of molesting her in 1974 when she was 15 years old.

This means Cosby will now have to testify this Friday. However, Judge Craig D. Karlan approved an order to seal the deposition for 60 days, and continued the hearing on the protective order until Dec. 22, so the court can view the portions of the deposition transcript and the arguments of council to decide which portions may or may not be kept confidential

and that their should be major penalties for leaks, like the case gets thrown out.

UPDATED 12:15PM Saturday:Bill Cosby’s sworn deposition lasted for seven hours Friday in the civil suit brought by a woman who claims the entertainer sexually abused her when she was 15, according to Gloria Allred who is representing Judy Huth.


Allred told reporters Saturday that she could not answer questions about Cosby’s testimony in Boston. “We’ll be filing motions with the court in connection with the deposition. We’ll also be seeking to take a further deposition of Mr. Cosby at a later date.”

Cosby’s attorneys could not be reached for comment, Reuters said.

PREVIOUSLY, 6:18PM Friday: Busy day for Bill Cosby, and not in a good way. Today he was compelled, for the first time in about a decade, to answer questions under oath about allegations he sexually assaulted a woman in 1974 at the Playboy Mansion, when she was a minor.

Meanwhile, a Massachusetts federal court today ixnayed (read the ruling here) his bid to get dismissed a libel lawsuit being brought against him by three other women, who also claim Cosby assaulted them, but who can’t sue him owing to statute of limitations. Tamara Green, Therese Serignese and Linda Traitz allege that “during the 1970’s [Cosby] met each Plaintiff and subsequently assaulted her.” They claim their reputations were damaged when Cosby representatives told news organizations their allegations are “fabricated.”

He's got a lot of very specific things to account for.

Not since seven people died from cyanide-laced Tylenol in 1982 has a brand been in as much danger as Playboy is now.

On Oct. 9, Bill Cosby answered questions under oath, for seven hours, about allegations that he drugged and sexually abused women. Judy Huth says the comedian victimized her at the Playboy Mansion in 1974, when she was 15 years old. A judge has allowed a lawsuit by Huth to go forward.

On Thursday, Huth answered questions under oath about the incident. The depositions will remain under seal until Dec. 22, when Judge Craig Karlan will decide whether to make any of the testimony public.

In what may be a strategic bit of damage control, Playboy announced Tuesday that the magazine will no longer show pictures of nude women. The company is in need of damage control, because Judy Huth’s story is not the only one that features the Playboy logo in a cameo role.

Model Chloe Goins says she was drugged and molested by Cosby at the Playboy Mansion in 2008 when she was still a teenager. P.J. Masten says she was working as a Playboy bunny in 1972 when Cosby drugged and raped her at a Chicago hotel. Masten says she reported the incident to her supervisor and was told to keep her mouth shut because Cosby was “Hef’s best friend.” Victoria Valentino says she was drugged and raped by Cosby in the late 1960s when he was a TV star. She says she didn’t report it because she was a Playboy playmate and thought no one would believe her.

Judy Huth’s attorney, Gloria Allred, will be taking testimony from more witnesses. Allegations of rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse of a minor, drug use and intimidation will be in the news for a long time, with the Playboy bunny logo showing up in a significant percentage of the stories.

Playboy Enterprises makes more money from licensing the Playboy name and logo than from any other part of its business. The bunny logo can be found on lingerie, liquor, bath products and jewelry. Last December, Playboy CEO Scott Flanders said product licensing generates $30 million in annual net profits just on sales in China, where pornography is illegal.

Flanders was ready to drop nudity from the magazine at that time, but the idea did not have the support of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, who still approves the models and photography personally.

Playboy’s Internet site dropped nudity in August 2014, thereby making the content SFW — or “safe for work” — and met with great success. Unique visitors to Playboy.com quadrupled to 14.5 million after the redesign.
