@FBM,
Payphone? The only payphone around here lost its directory back when Napoleon was a corporal, and hasn't been working since the Eisenhower administration.

You going to have a lot of catching up to do when you get back to the U.S.

@roger,
I figured I'd show my age with that one. You know, I can't even remember how long it's been since my last trip Stateside. I'd have to check my passport. I hope the damn thing hasn't expired. Shocked

@FBM,
First you should smell it to see if it's okay.

@chai2,
They should make them last longer than a Twinkie. Longer than a fruitcake is an unreasonable expectation.

@roger,
I had to google Twinkies (we don't have them over here) - they appear to be made from rocket fuel and glue, and to last from 77 to 1,000 years!

@vonny,
Them Twinkies is nasty stuff . . . but i think you underestimated their shelf life . . . i believe it is correct to say that Twinkies have a shelf-life equivalent to the half-life of uranium . . .

And they make pretty good kindling, all things considered:

@Setanta,
As a certifiable junk food junkie, I can attest to the fact that today's Twinkies are even worse than the originals, from some years back.

A convenience store at A2K would come in very handy on a Boxing Day in the UK - so many shops are closed for the holiday.
