@Setanta,
I called in a pickup order for a salami and provolone sandwich, a pint of Haagen Daaz dulce de leche ice cream, and a medium iced coffee with skim milk and 5 sugars. Is it ready?

Yeah. I know it's not even 9:00AM in the morning.

all good corner stores have hookers outside..

I guess that's the biggest sign that NYC has Disneyfied. No hookers outside of our bodegas or 7/11's.

Who ever heard of fuel pumps in front of a Seven/Eleven on Broadway or Tremont Street?

I miss Zagnut and Bit-O-Honey. Could you have them stock some of those, please?

@Region Philbis,
Looks like a nice old part of town there, RP.

Tell me, is there anywhere where one can purchase some hardwood flooring in that town?

Do we have the Liquor License sorted out yet? If so, is there a quiet little corner where a distant relative could come and enjoy a pint of dark stuff and a sly ciggie?

@Region Philbis,
We'll have to have this warning sign at our gas station.

@Region Philbis,
I knew that service station well. My ex-father in law (my first wife's dad) had an apartment in a high-rise on the corner of 102d and Riverside Dr. He kept his car in a garage just down the street and I often gassed up for him at that site.

If I can pry it loose, it ain't nailed down. Stealing just isn't happening.
Is the cashier properly prepared to defend the place ??

That picture of the drive-through gas station kept bugging me, but i couldn't think why until this morning. A friend of mine knew of a drive-through convenience store/liquor store in Columbus, Ohio. I just did a search for that, and there was a google map showing seven such drive-through stores in the Columbus, Ohio area, and there was one really crumby youtube video of one (the idiot had the video cam laying on its side as s/he drove through). I do recall that the one my friend used did a land office business.

@OmSigDAVID,
Well, we're still kinda working out the bugs in the system. The removal of the duct tape at night is not a pretty thing to see.

We now call Fluffy Baldy.
