I haven't heard the NRA's analysis of the treaty to see if they found anything objectionable in it as it finally passed. There you go oralloy. You made the claim that the US is in Africa. Or perhaps you were admitting you have no evidence of any UN treaty banning gun ownership in the US so simply tried to change the subject.

This oral-idiot has been nutty all along! Our Constitution provides for citizens to bare arms. The UN has no authority over our Constitution.

No I didn't.

Well, no, I wasn't admitting that.

But since the NRA consistently blocks the UN from their goal of subjecting American citizens to a gun ban treaty, it is certainly true that no such treaty applies to the US.

And so long as the NRA remains on guard to police the UN, there won't be.

No, I simply addressed the subject as it was presented. There was no attempt to change it.

So your tortured logic is that because Africa isn't connected to the US any treaty that affects Africa affects the US.

No. The tortured logic quoted there has nothing to do with me.

My logic is that, since the UN is trying to do everything they can to subject the American people to a gun ban treaty, it is important that we all stand vigilant and ready to defeat the UN.

AUSTIN, Tex. — Leaving behind a rant against the government, big business and particularly the tax system, a computer engineer smashed a small aircraft into an office building where nearly 200 employees of the Internal Revenue Service were starting their workday Thursday morning, the authorities said.

The pilot, identified as Andrew Joseph Stack III, 53, of north Austin, apparently died in the crash, and one other person was unaccounted for. Late Thursday, two bodies were pulled from the site, though the authorities would not discuss the identities of those found, The Associated Press reported. Two serious injuries were also reported in the crash and subsequent fire, which initially inspired fears of a terrorist attack and drew nationwide attention.

But in place of the typical portrait of a terrorist driven by ideology, Mr. Stack was described as generally easygoing, a talented amateur musician with marital troubles and a maddening grudge against the tax authorities.

“I knew Joe had a hang-up with the I.R.S. on account of them breaking him, taking his savings away,” said Jack Cook, the stepfather of Mr. Stack’s wife, in a telephone interview from his home in Oklahoma. “And that’s undoubtedly the reason he flew the airplane against that building. Not to kill people, but just to damage the I.R.S.”

I guess you never know about those old guys that have nothing to lose...HUH, DUMB ASS.

@giujohn,
Yet again, you post an anecdote as a mere tit-for-tat and ignore the UN and other agencies' statistical data that show that there is a problem.

You also seem to think that police can do no wrong and can't seem to comprehend that nobody at A2K is saying that all cops are bad. Black-0r-white thinking is a characteristic of an adolescent stage of emotional and intellectual development.

Are you mentally incapable of perceiving a middle ground in which people recognize that there are some problems, but without throwing a blanket generalization/accusation over the whole enforcement system? Is that beyond the limit of your intellectual capacity?

If you really want to go tit-for-tat with anecdotes, you're going to get a long row to hoe, Matlock. I'll even stay in the same state:

Quote:
Former Cop Headed to Trial for Raping a Child While Other Officers Watched

Pharr, TX — Trial is set to begin December 1, in the case of former Pharr police officer Erasmo Mata, Jr., accused of repeated first-degree felony sexual assaults of a child.

A federal civil lawsuit filed with Texas Southern District Court back in May accused Mata of assaulting the minor five times, on five separate occasions, all while on duty. The suit alleges that the attacks took place in abandoned houses around the city as other Pharr police officers stood by and watched.

The lawsuit also accused the department of engaging in a cover-up to protect the officers from criminal charges, as well as not conducting a rape kit or immediately testing the evidence.

The lawsuit was filed against the officer, the City of Pharr, the Pharr Police Department and the Pharr police chief.

Claims against the City of Pharr and the Pharr Police Chief Ruben Villescas were dismissed, however the motion to dismiss Mata was denied.

The Pharr Police Department did an internal investigation, but the family claims Chief Villescas told them not to hire an attorney and that he would personally take care of the allegations against the officer, Valley Central reports.

While the officers were terminated, neither Mata, nor the officers who allegedly watched, initially faced any criminal charges for the 2013 attacks.

After the lawsuit was filed, the lawyer for the teen asked the Texas Rangers to conduct their own investigation into the allegations. The Rangers found the accusations to be accurate and turned over the results to prosecutors, who presented the case to a grand jury and indicted Mata on July 30.

Pharr’s city attorneys deny that other officers watched the sexual assaults.

If convicted, Mata faces between five and 99 years in prison, as well as a fine of up to $10,000.

Isolated incident? Hardly.

Sexual misconduct is the second highest of all complaints nationwide against police officers, representing 9.3 percent in 2010, according to an unofficial study.

In 2010, 354 of the 618 complaints involved non consensual sexual acts, and over half of those involved were minors.

Earlier this month we reported on an officer in charge of a rape case who is accused of stalking and sexually harassing the victim.

Last month Oklahoma made headlines with three serial rapists in 3 weeks, all officers, as well as one police chief molesting children.

In July, a former New York Police Department officer convicted of planning to kidnap and rape women before killing and eating them was set to go free after a federal judge overturned his conviction.

We've been over this before. http://i1330.photobucket.com/albums/w561/hapkido1996/37_zps3ae50676.gifI post mainly statistics from relevant agencies and punctuate them with the occasional anecdote. I don't conflate the anecdotes with the relevant data. You do. Since you're stubbornly sticking with that ill-informed and ill-fated tactic, I'll school you on how it goes.

COP WANTED TO HAVE SEX WITH MAN’S WIFE, SO HE CREATED FAKE REPORTS TO GET MAN ARRESTED

AUSTIN — An Austin police lieutenant has been suspended indefinitely following controversy surrounding an affair he was having with a married woman, according to a disciplinary note from Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo.

The disciplinary note says Lt. Jason Disher was suspended for rules regarding retaliation against anyone involved in an investigation and the department’s honesty policy.

According to the memo, on April 22, Disher reported harassment to Det. Kenneth Nash.

Disher told Nash that for the past eight to nine years, he had been having an affair with a married woman, and her husband was now harassing him.

Disher provided Nash with telephone calls and text messages from the man, saying he did not want to pursue criminal charges but he wanted to document the incidents.

Nash then presented a warrant of arrest for the woman’s husband.

In May, the woman told police that the allegations against her husband weren’t true.

The woman said the affidavit incorrectly stated that her husband called Disher on his cell phone to confront him about their relationship and Disher hung up due to the husband’s hostility.

The woman said Disher promised to return her husband’s call, and when he called back, the two spoke for seven minutes. The telephone records confirmed the woman’s argument, and Disher later admitted that he called the man back and that the man did not make any threats.

The woman also said that the affidavit claimed that the man threatened Disher on the phone another time, but Disher later admitted that he was not sure if it was the man or his son on the phone.

Disher later claimed that he didn’t provide Nash with the false information in the affidavit, though Nash said he wrote the information down exactly as Disher told it to him. Disher later admitted he was aware of the inaccuracies and did not explain why he did not report the false information.

24 Cops and Armored Military Vehicle Sent To Loot A 75 Year Old’s Retirement Fund
By John Vibes on October 27, 2014

Marathon County police are not apologizing for their decision to use an armored military vehicle on a senior citizen because he may have been “argumentative.”

For years, 75-year-old Roger Hoeppner has been at odds with his local government in Marathon County, Wisconsin, over $80,000 dollars worth of fines relating to the use of his property.

Hoeppner has strongly disputed the fines that have been imposed on him, and he has been through multiple lawsuits and appeals with the city, in a fight to use his property the way that he wants to.

Town officials claim that a business which Hoeppner operates on his property is in violation of zoning ordinances.

In 2011, the town confiscated large amounts of personal property from Hoeppner because he refused to pay the fines. Several tractors, pallets and equipment were auctioned off by the government for “pennies on the dollar” according to Hoeppner’s attorney, Ryan Lister.

Next, the town imposed a $500-a-day fine on Hoeppner for refusing to remove certain equipment from his property. Eventually, the bill ran up close to $100,000, and the town came to collect the money with an armored truck and two dozen cops.

The local police department has defended their show of force by saying that Hoeppner was “argumentative” about the fines, although they admit that he never made any threats or indications that he would be violent.

“I’ve been involved in about five standoff situations where, as soon as the MARV showed up, the person gives up, saving time, money and increasing safety. People may not always understand why, but an armored vehicle is almost a necessity now,” Sheriff’s Capt. Greg Bean told reporters.

Hoeppner was arrested without any physical resistance, and was escorted to a bank where he was forced to withdraw $80,000 and hand it over to police.

You wrote this, right dumb ass? I keep up just fine...you're just a ******* liar who doesnt have anyway else to win an arguement.
