Jesus H. Christ...Q has finally caused me to agree with you, coldjoint.
There is no justice on the Internet.
Frank, life's a bitch, and then you die.
Yup!
There was a time when I wanted very much not to get any older, CJ.
Now...I consider "getting older" to be quite a delightful and satisfying thing!

@oralloy,

As far as changing the outcome, maybe, maybe not. True that it would take a lot to boost the Ukrainian military to a level that could throw the Russians out of Ukrainian territory. But it would be much easier to merely boost the Ukrainians to a level where they could prolong the fight indefinitely, slowly bleeding the Russians dry like in Afghanistan in the 1980s.
we just tried that in Iraq, we even spent 5 years on the ground trying to train them, we gave them a LOT of equipment. Then they refused to fight, we are currently doing the best we can to blow up with expensive missiles the billions of dollars of stuff that ISIS captured. You knuckleheads seem to think this is like giving Briton and Russia equipment under lend-lease in WW2....send the stuff over they will be fine. Nope, there needs to be a fighting force in place to give it too.

I don't think the Russians are actually offering the Ukrainians any deals.
sure they are, Putin wants the Eastern Ukraine to be like Kurdistan. They world can still call it part of Ukraine, but they will do that they want to do, which is become part of Russia.
For the record, we no longer drop A-bombs. We fire missiles tipped with thermonuclear warheads.
and micro nukes. like on 9-11.
And of course direct free energy technology!
9-11:An inside job from a to z.
Anyway, the argument still holds.
Here the researcher who discovered this:
Quote:
I realised that an all-out atomic war was an impossibility. Both sides could precalculate well in advance the time and positions of atomic attack. Plus the fact that only certain geometric locations could be detonated anyhow. A logical war cannot be considered under these circumstances. This could be the explanation for the proliferation of conventional weapons in modern warfare." http://www.whale.to/m/cathie.html
But one has to study his work to understand this. Not anybody will do that.
And think they know how things are without studying them.
Sheer stupidity of course.
“Is it possible to fight an atomic war on this basis? The whole thing would be completely illogical because both countries involved would naturally have computers calculating in advance just where and when each and every bomb would have to be placed if it was to explode. It is interesting to note that the American scientists can calculate in advance when the Chinese will detonate a bomb. If someone were stupid enough to push the button and start a war, then the country with the best defence would probably be the victor. Probably this is the reason for deploying submarines around the world, well stocked with atomic rockets. They could wait undetected over a long period, and fire their rockets as the Sun moved into position"”
