Thank you InCider for the information. I know what goths are, I used to live around them near the village (Washington Square). And, your right about the names and initials fading away quickly.

Thanks again.

You mean on this topic thread? If you want more discussion on the subject why don't you start your own, of course worded differently, and from a different angle. It does not seem like this thread is going to continue. I hope it does for your sake.

Take care.

I.Q
Hey there I am new, the only reason I have joined is to convey my view on the 'Intelligence Quotient Debate'.
It was interesting reading the replies by other members, seeing the vogue where participates felt the need firstly to assist their growing ego by stating ridiculous I.Q figures. This soon turned to game where people out did each other by placing larger and larger numbers, then further escalated to stating absurd figures that placed themselves into a category of intellectual disability and even to the level where using a keyboard would be too complex.
I would strongly like to emphasise that I.Q tests cannot be at all accurate when undertaken online. I myself have attempted these test getting varied results. I also have taken a true I.Q test where it involves moving objects about challenging your logic and speed along with lengthy multiple choice and written analysis.
Parameters such as age, socio-economic status, time period (when living) and education influence the derived I.Q of an individual.
I remember once seeing a Pythagorean Triad in an I.Q test. Do you think that it would be rather difficult to complete a question with no mathematical background?
I do suggest taking the Mensa practise online test before big noting oneself.

Welcome. I'd like to know, I'm curious. What is your I.Q? You sound pretty smart, but I'm sure almost everybody who posted in this thread tried to sound smart in their posts.

160 is what you get from google, and since Gates hasn't bothered to publicly dispute this, his actual IQ is probably no higher. 160 is certainly extremely high, but not the highest.

if you read the wikipedia article on Ms. vos Savant, you'll find that her IQ goes from 167 to 228, depending on when & how it was measured. there's no doubt that she's a genius at taking IQ tests, but one wonders why she hasn't accomplished more with her "genius" IQ than become a columnist for Parade magazine.

If you'd said you were only in fifth grade and age 7, then I'd be impressed. http://community.the-underdogs.org/smiley/happy/crudesmoke.gif

Why aren't you in school, young man?
