Okay then- this one's easy. You know the Lone Ranger's horse was Silver and Roy Rogers' horse was Trigger. What were the names of Tonto's horse and Dale Evan's horse?
Buttermilk and Scout.
Red Ryder and Little Beaver's horses?
Cisco Kid and Pancho's horses?
Knew that was too easy...
Don't think I can do Red Ryder, might be able to do Cisco and Pancho. I think Cisco was "Diablo"...still thinking on Pancho.
On the radio, Red Ryder and Little Beaver gave away their horse names with the opening of the show. Red would shout, "Roll, -------." Little Beaver, "Get 'em up, -------."
Uhhh....It wasn't "Roll a seven, baby needs a new pair of shoes", and "Get 'em up, this is a stickup" was it, by any chance? Probably not. I could google it or go listen to my old tapes but I doubt I'm going to remember on my own.
Red Ryder ; Thunder
Little Beaver: Scout
Cisco Kid: Diablo
Pancho: Loco
Hopalong Cassidy"s horse - ?
couldn't get beyond Trigger - then it came to me - Topper.
Correct, lezzles. Got any questions to stump us?
and, speaking of Topper:
What was name of the TV show Topper, what was the name of the dog on that show (Topper). who played Topper? His wife? Who played the married Couple (ghosts of).
Leo G Carroll
Jan Sterling
Be back later to wrestle with the rest.
correct: (Leo G. Carroll) as Cosmo
close, but it was robert sterling
The dog was Neal. I believe he was a Saint Bernard.
Betty white
yes, that's correct.
Here's another one:
What was Betty White's first nationally broadcast TV show. I used to watch this as a kid.
Sorry to interrupt, guys. Doubt whether I COULD stump you! I just enjoyed browsing through the thread so much I got carried away.
I remembered back to the bad old days - big excitement because Hopalong Cassidy was actually coming to visit us in Australia. WOW!
That, as I'm sure it was with you, was when this sort of thing was a really big deal and parents were hounded and not given a minute's peace by their rotten kids until they agreed to take them to see their hero.
That's how it was with me UNTIL I heard that Topper would not be coming with him. We had very strict animal quarintine laws at that time - no horses allowed!
I could never quite look at Hoppy the same way again. How could he go anywhere and leave his horse behind? Bet Roy Rogers wouldn't do that!
Have you ever seen a horse WHITER than Topper?
The only question I can think of that might make you stop and think is -
What was Trigger's big film role before joining up with Roy?
But first, back to Betty White, please!!
(never saw a tangent I don't enjoy...lezzles)
I know there was a series called The Betty White Show, but I don't know her first work.
