of course Bear, damn it Smile
I just thought that if God speaks to Bush, He probably speaks to his most devoted supporters too.

Damn, my sarcasm is getting to perfect, nobody understands me anymore - or maybe it's bad sarcasm then Smile

Are you not aware that McGentrix was deemed physically unfit for service in the Armed Forces and his expertise comes from listening to stories from his family members that were fit to serve?

It is possible that damaged self esteem due to an inability to serve in the Armed Forces is a contributing factor to a pathologically angry and bitter personality who doubts his own masculinity because somehow it has become tied to military service. I'm no expert, but it seems reasonable to me.

Not that I'm suggesting this is in any way the case with McGentrix. That would be silly. I don't know McGentrix.

Able2Know is a breeding place of liberal hatred for republicans and conservatives alike. saintsansbrian

You seem to spend an inordinate amount of time whining about about the members who post here.

If you're that unhappy here, why not find a rightwing-loving forum to post your thoughts?

I am married to a sweet Osage(not 100%) woman, and although I'm not afraid of her, I know better than to take her for granted. I'm sure you're no different.

Sam's just my sweet, little teddy bear. How could people ever believe those things about her...unless they've seen her in action.

Hobbitbob,
Petrified of me? I wouldn't hurt anyone, unless I had to. Somehow, people just misunderstand me. Must be the stigma of surviving the war with a 12 minute life-expectancy or something foolish like that. Did you sneak a peek at the Pathfinder URL or what? You know that you can't believe everything you hear and only about a third of what you see.

One of the shift leaders in the ED at Madigan, in the mid 1990s had done Pathfiunder school in the 1970s. HE hda also been an 18D, and was off SF status due to his third (Shocked) broken back! THis was his pre-retirement assignment. He had been active in "advisory" missions in Niocaragua. Wink

At least I wasn't in our Special Forces. That color of green is sooooooooo tacky, clashing with olive drab like that. Now, black berets are different. They go with EVERTHING! Laughing Sometimes, where people don't or didn't want them to.

But what's with everyone wearing beanies nowadays? Why, in my day (shakes cane menacingly!) only Airborne, Ranger, and SF people wore funny little hats!
(In the interest of non-Enron like disclosure, I am a frustrated SF wanna be. My knees were so bad I gave up on day three of SFAS in 1994. Sad )

Ahhhhhh! Nicaragua, had a chance to fly with the "wild geese" there. Could have even been recalled to active for it, but got my final discharge a few years before, after Senator Bill Proxmire's staff retrieved it for me and that took them three months to locate. It was only ten years after my release from active duty (ETS). The Army claimed that they couldn't send it because I had moved. Some intelligence system, huh? They had to be working on what we call "Indian time", doing things as we see the need. You know, eating when hungry, sleeping when tired, recalling troops when needed.

Actually, I got my Purple Heart (Booby Prize) for kissing some guys fist in a bar room fight. When asked if it was under hostile conditions, I replied, "Hell yes, that Sargent-at-arms was hostile!" If you believe that, we know of a nice beach-front condo on the Pine Ridge where you can buy time-shares.(Sam is requesting "small unmarked bills", please.")

SF approached me to join them five times. I'm crazy, not suicidal. Shocked Besides they needed us for backup too much, even when I was Det. NCO with the 82nd at Bragg. Long boring story, please don't ask.

Yes, I'm still crazy, but now I get paid for it from the VA and Social Security. Hey, I'm a professional now!! And I let people get under my skin? Must be slipping. Rolling Eyes Lalalalala!

Let's see...in 1990 my buddy and I went to the Army recruiter to join up and become tankers. But, when I was 11 I had surgery on both of my hips which left 3 titanium spikes in each hip which disqualified me from active duty. I tried to join up, but Uncle Sam had enough young men at the time. My father is a retired CMSGT, bith brothers served in the AF. One as an MP, the other as a medic. My grandfather was a Marine in WW2. My great grandfather was in the army. So, I have an extensive familial connection to the armed services.

I see no great dishonor in not serving in the military, there are plenty of great people who have never served just as there are that have. Bi-Polar bear and Hobitbob like to take glee in the fact that I haven't served because they are jerks. It does bother me a bit that I wasn't able to, but I became a teacher instead and I bet that my impact on civilization will be greater than either of theirs as I had influence on the young minds of tomorrow.

My actual experience? I spent 5 years in Weisbaden Air Base Germany, 2 Years at Offutt AFB, 3 years at Loring AFB, 4 years at Ramstein Air Base, and 5 years at Griffiss AFB.

I have many friends in the armed forces and I have had many fun and educational experiences.

No, that would be intelligence. Hate is what Bush shows to everyone who doesn't follow his theological nonsense.

But of course, you're so busy kissing Bush's backside, you wouldn't realize that.
