The knockout game has gotten very big, with the attacks often posted on the net. Moreover, the victims are often the elderly, women, and children. Often, there is permanent damage to the victims. You should not diminish this serious crime, which is often called "polar bear hunting.)
the knock out game is exactly like car jackings, kids being kidnapped by strangers off of their front yards, and women being raped in parking garages....something that almost never happens that the media plays up to get eyeballs because people just love to be told how dangerous the world is.

There was just a study that shows that Americans almost universally have no knowledge that violent crime in America is currently at multi generational lows per capita, that violence is very unlikely to happen to us. People believe what they want to believe, fantasy has trumped reality.

@Advocate,
A violent stunt is growing in popularity among teenagers. The so-called “knockout game” involves assaulting people without warning, and it is claiming lives.
The victims of the brutal game are chosen at random. Defenseless and unsuspecting people are attacked by groups of teens who have one goal in mind: to knock the victim out with one punch.
“One-hitter quitter,” “knock em’ and drop em,” “point em’ out and knock ‘em out” are all names for a disturbing trend now drawing concern nationwide.
In Pittsburgh, a teacher was punched so hard he collapsed head first into the concrete curb. A man in Brooklyn was also knocked unconscious. And even women are being attacked.
Woman viciously beaten in south St. Louis in possible "knockout game" attack
There have been seven recent cases in New York City alone. And the game has turned fatal in at least four documented attacks—in Syracuse, N.Y.; St. Louis; Chicago; and Hoboken, N.J., site of the latest fatal attack.
Boys—seen in video from a security camera after the incident—have been charged with the murder. They are just 13 and 14 years old.
Jeffrey Butts, who specializes in youth criminal justice at John Jay College, said, “We know from brain studies that the part of your brain that gets fired up through excitement and thrill-seeking actually develops more quickly and fires up more quickly than the other part of your brain, which comes along a few years later and is about judgment and discretion.”
Police look into possibility of more 'knockout game' attacks in south St. Louis
He says there’s no real pattern to the way the attackers choose their victims, but they are always alone, and they stand out.
“The victims are someone who the young people consider to be an ‘other,’” Butts explained. “That could be a racial difference, it could be a religious difference, it could be an age difference, it just could be a class difference.”
Nothing in the so-called “knockout game,” is about a fair fight. So if it’s not about toughness, if it’s not about courage, then what is it about?
Butts said, “Teenagers get involved in this game to prove their manhood and, ironically, what they ultimately end up doing is proving that they’re still children.”
It’s hard to tell how widespread this issue is, special correspondent John Miller said on “CBS This Morning.” “If you look for it in the statistics, there’s no cutout for the knockout game in the numbers; they’re categorized as assaults, so you can’t search backwards for them effectively.
Miller continued, “And there’s another problem, (New York) Police Commissioner Ray Kelly here said yesterday, ‘We’re going to be talking to the Health Department to see if there may be more cases than we’re aware of.’ One of the first things you forget when you’re knocked out cold is what it was that knocked you out. If you’re in a fight for five minutes, you might remember: ‘I was in a fight, and then I woke up on the ground.’
“But if you’re just walking down the street and the next thing you know, you’re on the sidewalk and you don’t know how you got there, there could be cases that [police are] not aware of. When I talked to chiefs around the country yesterday, this was just below their radar, it’s just coming up in a few cities.”

Does that mean that the whites shud put up with it,
accept it, because it was in the black community first?????

Does that mean that the whites shud NOT complain about it
in order to avoid the appearance of being "racist"???? I dont think so.

What 's your opinion, Buttermilk ??

I have Pamela Rosa on ignore, as well as Tabludama. Have for years. I would just as soon their sickening racist views be banned from this site. That would be my preference. This is not a "right of free speech" bullshit argument. That's complete bullshit. Let them spew their bile elsewhere. I would prefer the powers that be take a stand and say enough with this crap, and ban it like the SPAM it is.

@Ticomaya,
Saying that black violence against whites is a problem that deserves attention could be considered racist bile. It might also be true. Which is why such speech should
Not be banned. Once you have determined that the claim is not true it is easy enough to ignore all future iterations of the claim. Also where is your damage? If false racial claims disturb you to a great degree that points to a personal problem on your part, not a problem with the ambiance.

There's only one "knife" in my position. That is how phony baloney it is to claim some kind of virtue in tolerating racist hate speech. Saying that the world is an uglier place if someone like Pamela Rosa doesn't have access to this private venue is ludicrous--the world is an uglier place because people like her spew their hatred around. It doesn't need to happen here, and it is no measure of virtue that it does.

I have not read Pamela Rosa 's posts for a long, long time; many, many months,
but that is not because she is a racist. It is because the violence that she presents in front of us
is so repulsive (in many cases homicide) and there is nothing that I can do to help that abhorrent
criminal-victim situation. I feel powerless to help the victims. I don t have Pamela Rosa on Ignore.
I discern that she is endeavoring to call our attention to an authentic problem,
like yelling "FIRE" when there really IS one. Her posts wud be too ugly
even if thay were only white on white crime. So far as I know,
she has not recommended any remedy qua crime prevention.
(Note that I HAVE offered solutions, to wit:
1. Remove violently recidivistic felons from the North American Continent.
2. Repeal all victim-disarmament laws, so that future victims of crime
can be optimally ready to DEFEND THEMSELVES with good, competent emergency equipment.
3. Repeal anti-drug laws. End the un-Constitutional "War on Drugs" which has driven up the price
of contraband addictive drugs
such that addicts, in desperation, can only finance their habits
by un-lawfully violent means. The price will fall out of the market, ending the problem.
Note that I will continue to avoid that stuff; its poison, in my opinion.)

It seems to me that 2 things can be truthfully asserted of Pamela Rosa:
1. she is pointing out a genuine problem, which is a matter of life & death;
2. she is a racist.

I very seldom read her posts because of their ugliness,
but I don t call for censorship (tho I agree that
the owner of the site is within his rights
to throw people off of it for any reason or for NO reason).

She has not offered a way to extinguish the aforesaid fire. I did.

It is a measure of FREEDOM.
Freedom is GOOD. I don t imagine that authoritarians like u can understand that.

@Lash,
Where is the mob attitude? If I read someone saying they have a right to rape women or fondle babies then they are wrong. Having sexual intercourse without someone 's consent or with someone without the cacity to understand sex is wrong it's wrong !

Your problem is you think if 20 people attack a view that is generally unacceptable you think we're censoring them, or "ganging up." No, people go through life thinking "hey I have met only 20 black people in my life who treated me like **** but the other 43 million who I've never met, are the same" need to be told they're wrong.
