This has nothing to do with agree to disagree. As I've said in my previous post (my previous, previous) there are views that are simply wrong. Just as I think fondling a 10-month old baby is wrong, or raping a physically disabled woman is wrong so too I believe racism is wrong regardless who perpetrates the views. I also think people who are idle while observing racists who are consistent in their mantra and who sit by doing nothing yet argue about the right to not be censored are too wrong.

Buttermilk, in your opinion,
is there something rong with anyone preferring his own race?
How about preferring your own family? or warm friends ?

If you think a view is wrong then speak your mind about it if you want, that is your right. What is not right is any attempt to banish or otherwise punish the person you dont agree with. Punishments should only be handed out for bad acts, and " wrong" thoughts or "wrong" speech dont make an act.

sure, but in our increasingly repressive, bullied and vindictive society any place that allows free speech is a very unusual and useful place. Robert has sacrificed traffic by allowing an unusual degree of free speech, and perhaps he should good a good humanitarian award for doing so.

Tho I consider myself to be fiercely libertarian,
above all other ideological considerations,
I have good friends who were leftists of the 1930s, commies and nazis.
I have never rejected someone from friendship on a purely ideological basis.

People who keep pushing the "free speech" argument continue to fail to realize that this isn't about censorship, in a realm where supposed adults are discussing key issues it is about pointing out issues where people are truly wrong about their views. u need to indicate BY WHAT CRITERIA (as specifically as possible)
the subject matter is either right or wrong.

By some criteria, an event, or a person, can be right
and by other criteria it or he can be rong. If u wish to be clearly understood,
then u need to specify better.

Black on white violent crime is wildly disproportionate to white on black violent crime. (Have you heard of the "knockout game?) How is it racist to point that out?

I've had the fortune of dating women of different ethnic backgrounds and I will say that despite my views on feminism, we men are lucky to have women. I believe women are the most precious thing that exist on this Earth. I believe, this is what I've learned in dating women of other cultures. Any man who witholds himself from dating others outside his "race" is doing himself a disservice. There are so many women of different cultures that offer so much.....I am the least religious but I believe I see GOD on the faces of different people of different cultures.

Criteria? By what criteria do I go by when I say fondling a 10 month old baby is wrong? Well, common sense tells me babies don't consent. Babies aren't sexualized until they 're pre or post pubescent or have the capacity to understand sex. Also an adult who fondles a baby has issues. Some things are commonly wrong just as racism is wrong.

A common theme among racists are to promote this idea that most blacks commit crime using FBI stats. There are over 43 million black Americans. Even if you had 100,000 in prison that only accounts for 1% of that population. 1% is not most which Pamela tries to indicate. Although 1% is too many for me, you still have the other 98-99%

Pornography is fine with me. I don't have to look at it if I don't want to. Bring it on. I have ignore and it works fine for me. I may want to share my opinion with a porno poster if I'm offended.

Spammers aren't here for discourse at all. They're here to sell me something. I don't want to be solicited on a message board, so I support that they are ejected.

I do NOT support Pamela. I support her (and MY) ability to express opinions - even though I disagree with hers and others'.

When we start deciding what we consider racism - or hate speech of other stripes - and through pressure or some other seemingly benign coersion, something uglier happens. IMO.
