@raprap,

Excuse the bad format=able2know format isn't compatible
y=mx+b

[9 1][m] [7]
[5 1]=[2]

[m] [9 1]^-1[7]
=[5 1] [2]

[9 1]^-1 [ 1 -1]
[5 1] =1/4[-5 9]

[m] [ 5]
=1/4[-17]

y=1/4(5x-17)

Check
y0=1/4(5*9-17)=1/4(45-17)=1/4*28=7
y1=1/4(5*5-17)=1/4(25-17)=1/4*8=2

OK

Rap

ok, Thanks fro calculating.
The bad format is ok, I know.
But what do you e.g mean with :

[9 1][m] [7]

Working with Determinants or what?

Now, in VM it can be done much faster, interested?

@Quehoniaomath,
I get the distinct impression that no one is interested. What do you think Quehoniaomath?

Yeah, they might. But they have no idea what they are missing. Wink

Really.

@Lustig Andrei,
Due to the peculiar brand of convoluted, cotton-headed (non-)logic, perhaps?

This can really be done so much faster , shorter and with more elegance with Vedic Mathematics.

Here is another one, can someone do it the conventional way?

@Quehoniaomath,
Vedic Math is a hoax.

Some guy wrote a book with math tricks. To sell it he tried to claim it had something to do with ancient Hindu texts (which it doesn't). It is a hoax.

To sell this hoax, people make claims that there is a link between these math tricks and computer algorithms... and maybe there is some coincidental link.

But this is a silly hoax.

@maxdancona,
of course you have never worked with Vedic Math? Right?

a hoax? lol, you wish!

Quote:
There is a worldwide debate currently raging about the efficacy
of Vedic mathematics versus the crumbling foundations of
Western mathematics. Generally speaking, the theorems we all
learned at school are not wrong, but clumsy. Some of the Western
geometrical formulas are certainly inadequate. For example, the
formulas for sphere packing in the higher dimensions increase up
to the sixth dimension, then suddenly decrease for higher dimensions,
which is simply absurd.
Unfortunately, some diehard senior mathematicians, in an
attempt to protect the crumbling foundations that they now stand
on, feel threatened by the lightning-quick mental calculations of
Vedic mathematicians and go to great lengths to deride Vedic
maths as a "bag of tricks".

And,,, VM is indeed used in field of Information Technology

a hoax? whoaaaaaa

that is a good one!!!!

Is there also a "worldwide debate" about whether jet engines work?

Nope, you crack yourself up by using a false analogy. Wink
Try some real rationality and logic next time, thank you.

Now, answer my question. I will ask again. Have you ever worked with Vedic mathematics yourself?

@Quehoniaomath,
It is a single crackpot book that has gained a small following on the internet.

I work in Information Technology. We use real math. No one cares about crackpot math tricks.

well, answer my simple question.

No one cares?? lol, it is really used in the field of Information Technology.
Maybe your company is behind?Wink

You very simply have no idea what you are talking about.

That's fascinating. I think if you gave two or three examples, that would
help prove your point.
