@revelette2,
From the story...
Quote:
Republican critics of the law have suggested that the cancellations last fall have led to a net reduction in coverage.

That is not supported by survey data or insurance companies, many of which report they have retained the vast majority of their 2013 customers by renewing old policies, which is permitted in about half the states, or by moving customers to new plans.

LOL: The time Karl Rove “proved” Obamacare would never reach 7m sign-ups
just one week ago, Karl Rove even brought out his “white board” to “prove” that the 7 million sign-ups were impossible.

Republicans Aren't Happy Obama Called Their Budget A 'Stinkburger'
SAHIL KAPUR – APRIL 2, 2014, 4:37 PM EDT

President Barack Obama conjured up a couple of new words during a Wednesday speech in Ann Arbor, Mich., labeling the House GOP budget a "stinkburger" and a "meanwich."

His comment about the blueprint -- released by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and heard in committee Wednesday -- quickly turned into a trending topic on Twitter in Washington, D.C. It didn't sit well with Republican leadership aides.

Rory Cooper, top spokesman for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA):

Rory Cooper @rorycooper Follow

Guys, once he says Stinkburger, it *becomes* presidential.

4:09 PM - 2 Apr 2014

Doug Heye, deputy chief of staff for Cantor:

Doug Heye @DougHey Follow

Was "stinkburger" in Obama's prepared remarks or did he improvise that gem?

@bobsal u1553115,
What I find interesting is how quickly they were able to obtain their numbers. Over the last few months, the admin would be asked about sign up numbers, and they were almost always absent. We don't know at this time, it's going to be weeks before we know, we don't have a way to track this or track that, and then we would be stonewalled about how many signups there were. All of a sudden they have access to just about all the numbers they could ever put out. Interesting how that works...

I will be waiting for the official numbers to be released. I wonder if they will have important information with those enrollment #'s. How many were uninsured, how many had insurance and had to sign up via the exchanges, prices that people are paying vs what they had before.

If the only #'s we receive are those numbers of people who signed up and that is all we get, then we know there is something rotten in Denmark.

No, I'm not surprised. You really do have something against the truth, Baldimo.

Just as regards us two, remember, I'm not the one who took part in a war crime. I'm not the one who provided material support to terrorists in actions against innocents.

How do we know that to be true JTT? I don't think anyone knows anything about you. For all we know you could be sitting in Saudi Arabia and supplying material support for jihadists. Or you could be like the Neo-Nazi's from the movie Sum of all Fears. We just don't know anything about you JTT.

How many of those 7 million are merely people that lost their insurance as a result of the ACA? I suspect most of them.

Obama's Af-Pak War is Illegal

...

Although the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan was as illegal as the invasion of Iraq, many Americans saw it as a justifiable response to the attacks of September 11, 2001. The cover of Time magazine called it "The Right War." Obama campaigned on ending the Iraq war but escalating the war in Afghanistan. But a majority of Americans now oppose that war as well.

The UN Charter provides that all member states must settle their international disputes by peaceful means, and no nation can use military force except in self-defense or when authorized by the Security Council. After the 9/11 attacks, the council passed two resolutions, neither of which authorized the use of military force in Afghanistan.

“Operation Enduring Freedom” was not legitimate self-defense under the charter because the 9/11 attacks were crimes against humanity, not “armed attacks” by another country. Afghanistan did not attack the United States. In fact, 15 of the 19 hijackers hailed from Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, there was not an imminent threat of an armed attack on the United States after 9/11, or President Bush would not have waited three weeks before initiating his October 2001 bombing campaign. The necessity for self-defense must be “instant, overwhelming, leaving no choice of means, and no moment for deliberation.” This classic principle of self-defense in international law has been affirmed by the Nuremberg Tribunal and the UN General Assembly.

Bush's justification for attacking Afghanistan was that it was harboring Osama bin Laden and training terrorists, even though bin Laden did not claim responsibility for the 9/11 attacks until 2004. After Bush demanded that the Taliban turn over bin Laden to the United States, the Taliban’s ambassador to Pakistan said his government wanted proof that bin Laden was involved in the 9/11 attacks before deciding whether to extradite him, according to the Washington Post. That proof was not forthcoming, the Taliban did not deliver bin Laden, and Bush began bombing Afghanistan.

Bush’s rationale for attacking Afghanistan was spurious. Iranians could have made the same argument to attack the United States after they overthrew the vicious Shah Reza Pahlavi in 1979 and the U.S. gave him safe haven. If the new Iranian government had demanded that the U.S. turn over the Shah and we refused, would it have been lawful for Iran to invade the United States? Of course not.

@McGentrix,
The unpublished RAND study – only the Los Angeles Times has seen it – found that just 23 per cent of new enrollees had no insurance before signing up.

And of those newly insured Americans, just 53 per cent have paid their first month's premiums.

If those numbers hold, the actual net gain of paid policies among Americans who lacked medical insurance in the pre-Obamacare days would be just 858,298.

@woiyo,
Conservative math. Let's make up numbers then we can use those to reach the conclusion we want.

The numbers don't include new Medicaid enrollees or those under 26 that were added to their parents insurance.

It also assumes that no one will wait until the payment is due before they pay insurance. I really don't know too many people that pay their bills 3 months or even 30 days before they are due.

The Daily mail cherry picked part of the study and seemed to ignore all the rest.

This is from the LA Times report that they got the numbers from
Quote:

At least 9.5 million previously uninsured people have gotten health insurance since Obamacare started, surveys and reports show

http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-obamacare-uninsured-national-20140331,0,5472960.story#ixzz2xqzKbfoA

But somehow the Daily Mail decided that means less than one million? And Conservatives repeat those numbers like bleating sheep.

You certainly enjoy your irony don't you? Have you ever seen the numbers fabricated about deportation, unemployment, not to mention fund raising?

First of all the law never would passed if people knew they would loose their insurance or doctors. The whole law, and its enactment(parts that won't completely destroy the Dems in Nov., now delayed) is based on a lies.

Second bragging about people signing up for something that is mandatory is also a joke. In reality a lot more people are ignoring the law not following it. Of course, ignoring law is no stranger to Obama.

And third you have not bothered to offer any real proof for the administrations numbers.No one should blindly accept what proven liars are saying, exceptions being liars themselves. Shill.

No he didn't. My comments were directed toward women who use abortion because their irresponsible behavior and do not want the consequences should only have one chance to do that. I said nothing else but that.

You idiots cannot deal with certain truths and insulting and demeaning me or others who disagree is your only option.
