I did not judge him by that criterion, because I dont care about that.
I cared that he destroyed communist imperialism
and communist slavery. Un-like Roosevelt, he did it without firing a shot

America is safe from communist slavery.

For u leftists, the answer to EVERY problem is to constrict, debilitate and betray freedom,
whether u wanna force people to do things that thay dont wanna DO,
or to STOP people from doing things that thay wanna DO and have had the freedom to do it.

U leftists just ASSUME that government has the authority
to hit REAL Americans below the belt, violating our Constitutional rights
(e.g., the War on Drugs or gun control).

Actually, David, I try to stay away from designations and labels.

But to properly respond to your question: I am not a Democrat; I am not a liberal; I MOST CERTAINLY AM NOT AN AMERICAN CONSERVATIVE; I am not of the right...and as for the left, well...that leaves a lot to be desired, and I simply do not identify myself with the left.

I grant that I tend to favor legislation that is deemed to be "progressive." I want to strengthen and expand safety net programs...it is fairer that government do that than if it allows so-called free market factors to tend to that kind of thing.

It is, in short, my opinion that there are things that need doing that only government can do. I do not fear government...and while I see faults with our government, I see the difficulties politicians have in governing a nation like ours has become virtually ungovernable.**

My sense of things is that government will expand and greatly increase its power no matter what...

...and we citizens will demand that government expand and create a kind of benevolent, reasonable dictatorship...

...or we will devolve into a tyrannical dictatorship that will destroy the great American democratic experiment.

I see American conservatism as a recipe for chaos and anarchy.

**Much of the blame for what we have become, I place on the shoulders of Ronald Reagan...one of the great disasters to befall our nation.

Illinois Republicans Nominate Candidate Who Blames Gay Rights For Autism And Tornadoes
Source: Think Progress

All of the Republican incumbents in Illinois who supported marriage equality won their primaries Tuesday, but one particularly anti-LGBT candidate for Congress did beat her more liberal challenger. Susanne Atanus, who is challenging Rep. Jan Schakowsky’s (D) seat in Illinois’ 9th District (which includes much of Chicago), won her Republican primary against former Obama-supporter and Navy veteran David Earl Williams III.

Atanus received national attention in January when she told the Daily Herald that God sends devastating weather like tornadoes and diseases like autism as punishment for LGBT equality and abortion rights:

“I am a conservative Republican and I believe in God first,” Atanus said. She said she believes God controls the weather and has put tornadoes and diseases such as autism and dementia on earth as in response to gay rights and legalized abortions.

“God is angry. We are provoking him with abortions and same-sex marriage and civil unions,” she said. “Same-sex activity is going to increase AIDS. If it’s in our military it will weaken our military. We need to respect God.

1 loss won't hurt the new Republican Senate one bit. And I would rather have a Christian than a liar.
