@bobsal u1553115,
But then a great reversal in the relative prosperity of the two states happened, as little Vermont started getting richer faster than big Texas. By 2001, Texas lost its lead over Vermont in per capita income. By 2012, despite its oil and gas boom and impressive job creation numbers, Texas was 4.3 percent poorer than Vermont in per capita income.

-------------------

Big ******* deal! You don't have oil and drilling wastes spread all over the landscape like Texas does.

Ken Langone, Top Christie Donor And Home Depot Co-Founder, Makes Hitler Comparison
The Huffington Post | by Paige Lavender

Ken Langone, a GOP megadonor and the co-founder of Home Depot, made a questionable Adolf Hitler comparison while looking at political trends ahead of 2016.

In an interview with Politico published Tuesday, Langone warned of populist rhetoric against the wealthy, recalling "what Hitler was saying in Germany":

In two-dozen interviews, the denizens of Wall Street and wealthy precincts around the nation said they are still plenty worried about the shift in tone toward top earners and the popularity of class-based appeals. On the right, the rise of populists including Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz still makes wealthy donors eyeing 2016 uncomfortable. But wealthy Republicans — who were having a collective meltdown just two months ago — also say they see signs that the political zeitgeist may be shifting back their way and hope the trend continues.

“I hope it’s not working,” Ken Langone, the billionaire co-founder of Home Depot and major GOP donor, said of populist political appeals. “Because if you go back to 1933, with different words, this is what Hitler was saying in Germany. You don’t survive as a society if you encourage and thrive on envy or jealousy.”

Doesn't surprise me. The vast majority of "haters" are on the left.

I dont bother with it. I 'm on the right.
I did all my hating during the kennedy administration;
well, MOST of it -- LBJ was hard to take too, but not as bad.

It was just too much wasted effort to bother hating Clinton or obama.

not worth it

The "vast majority" does not mean "all", David.

Nope. The vast majority of haters are on the right.
Owner of a bar in South Carolina had a sign in his front window saying:

“NO CONCEALED WEAPONS ALLOWED,” the sign warns.
“If you are such a loser that you feel a need to carry a gun with you
when you go out, I do not want your business. Douchebag.”

He sounds hateful! HOW far to the right do u figure that guy is?????

I voted for him...and THEN discovered he was a douchebag...and not a particularly bright one.

Conservatives go on and on about "family values"...but love Ronald Reagan, even though he was a divorcee...and got his second wife pregnant before being married...and was such a lousy parent that two of his kids wrote books excoriating him.

Fine...but you associate yourself politically with a bunch of people who pretend "family values" are IMPORTANT...and who consider people like Ronald Reagan to be a champion of family values.

Hey, delusion often runs deep.

Is that a motorcycle group?

Yeah, a lot of conservatives use that.

I don't. In fact, I am more in favor of extending it.

Imagine that. Democratic states with the problem they want to alleviate. How are they going to blame the Republicans for this? Most likely more lies and media backing.
