If you are unsure what my point is perhaps you should refrain from offering advice on language. And before you correct your daughter maybe you get yourself up to speed on what really is language, and how it actually works.

Well, it ran peaceably and even the little glitch at the opening ceremony was used as a basis for a visual "prop" for the closing.

The whole notion of an Olympics for countries that are snowy is biased. What about a rainy Olympics? If putting up an umbrella in a force ten gale was an Olympic sport we'd sweep the boards. How about getting from Hammersmith to Cockfosters during a tube strike? If you can do that in less than an hour you deserve a gold medal.

Id think that London could retire the "Silly tournaments" division after Id seen some of the timed events that the boys on TOPGEAR would pose themselves in crossing London.
