World Record Sports Stadium Decibel Level set at Century Link Field during Seahawks 49ers game. Loud, Really loud.
Seahawks rarely lose at home.
Is that unfair?

@neologist,

i think it's fair -- that's a real home field advantage.

visiting teams (QB's especially) have to devise ways to overcome the noise...

I think it takes away from the field action and makes it a fan game - which I get, that is always there, but don't particularly like the booted up noise. I even think it takes away from the home team abilities as excellent.

@ossobuco,
I'm fine with home team noise, that's been a forever consideration. Cranking it up to decibles above pain threshold wasn't all that cute to me.

Ragman and I talked about it on the Football pick'em thread but I don't want to try and find that right now.

@neologist,
It was loud. It was fair and the fans will continue to be loud.

Seattle fans generated earthquake

SEATTLE -- Seismologists say Seahawks fans shook the ground under Seattle's
CenturyLink Field during Saturday's defeat of the New Orleans Saints, causing
another fan-generated earthquake.

The scientists believe the small earthquake during a Marshawn Lynch touchdown
was likely greater than Lynch's famous "beast quake" touchdown run three years
ago, which also came against New Orleans during a playoff game.

@Region Philbis,
Seahawks will be in New Jersey in 2 weeks. I'll be watching on a big screen with a lot of beer.

@Region Philbis,
I was AT that game with my 2 brothers (who live outside Seattle). It was FANTASTIC.

I will also be attending the Superbowl in 9 days. I can't wait.

@maporsche,
I used to live about 3 miles from where the stadium was built. Drove past it 4 or 5 times a week. Believe me. It will be cold. Bundle up. Think of me enjoying a growler of Mac & Jacks (with help, of course) Laughing

@Region Philbis,
I am a long time Hawks fan and Bronco hater. Still I felt some regret about the lopsided score. Amazing that yards gained, first downs, time of posession would not indicate a blowout. Denver is a very good team.
