Silly mythological rationalizations aside, the Israeli settlers in the West Bank are mostly immigrants from Israel and other countries of the world. Those Israeli settlers born in settlements are first generation Israeli settlers.

Historical fact is neither silly nor mythological nor a rationalization.

@InfraBlue,
Don't expect a rational response from Oralboy, he's seriously deranged. He lost touch with reality years ago. He believes in nuking Italy and Russia and killing Italian babies, of course he's not going to understand what indigenous means. He's from one of those creepy religions where they're not to think, just shut up and swallow the bullshit.

Aren't there still American troops in Germany? In Japan? Perhaps, the Germans and Japanese have some insight into humility that Palestineans do not?
We've got British troops here, French, Dutch, Canadian and Polish.

Why?
We are a NATO-country - joined French-German, Dutch-German and Polish-German brigades. The Canadians have left their garrisons here since a couple of years, but use US-facilities now. The US and British are still stationed in their former occupied zones (the British will leave in 2017).

So, the presence of NATO troops in Germany is not based on any potential threat that Germany poses to anyone. However, the Palestineans do pose a potential threat to Israel, in the opinion of Israel, I thought. So, Israeli troops in occupied Palestinean is for a different purpose.

Now, why do you suppose Germany became such a model of democracy and capitalism, not to mention productive and profitable? I believe, if the Palestineans could direct their energies in the same manner, Israel would be only too happy to have a successful neighbor, without occupying troops. Perhaps, too many people do not see the forest for the trees, in that rather than begrudging Israel its existence, follow the good role models of Germany and Japan. Perhaps, there is too much humiliation in accepting the peaceful existence of Israel in the Arab mindset? Could that correlate with intractable anti-Semitism. Heck, if Germany and Poland can become philo-Semitic, others should try. It should be less difficult? It might even be good for a nation's mental health?

I don't think that Germany is "a model of capitalism" - actually, it can't be besides we would get a new constitution:
Quote:
Article 20
[Constitutional principles – Right of resistance]

(1) The Federal Republic of Germany is a democratic and social federal state. ... ... ...

You are mincing words, in my opinion. The word "socialism," in my opinion, calms the people of left-wing impulses. The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

I didn't mention "socialism" nor does our constituion.
It is generally accepted by constitutional experts as well as by the Federal Constitutional Court that Germany can't be a "capitalist" country due to article 20. ("Capitalism is hostile to the Basic Law", as the federal constitutional judge Böckenförde wrote.)

Note that most of what that freak said about me is a lie. (And at least half of it is an accurate description of him.)

Your criticisms of the US are in fact almost always unjust and untrue.

They are rarely my "criticisms". The source material describes a country that has been nothing but a terrorist nation/group since its inception. The facts don't lie. What you mistakenly think are facts is the propaganda that has fooled many into thinking the US is some kind of savior of the oppressed.

The US has never ever done that. There is no situation where the people have been better off after the US got involved. There are many many situations where the people have paid an enormous price in the carnage wrought by the US.

One thing is the Holocaust, quite another is your ridiculous attempt to pass off mythology as history.

@InfraBlue,
Tough to follow this one.

Are you suggesting that the Holocaust is a myth?

If not what is the myth you find problematic?

@Finn dAbuzz,
I thought you'd 'had it' Finn. Nevermind, the myth is that European and American settlers who moved to Israel post war are the indigenous population because of their religion.

Btw Finn, there's no Holocaust deniers in A2K's pro-Palestine camp. The last person who tried to justify Holocaust denial by citing Israel's disgraceful treatment of the Palestinians was Krumple, and she was given short shrift.

How is it that Israel incurs such widespread and vehement hatred? It's one of the tiniest of countries, only one-sixth of one percent of the lands called Arab. How is it she is held responsible for the political dissatisfaction of 22 Arab countries, with 640 times her size and 60 times her population?

Five million Jews, and the Muslim world just can't stand it. ...
