@RexRed,
It should do because the new Pope has said that we should take it a bit easier.

Why do believers constantly praise god? Is god praise-needy?

"Praise" can mean "like", so the question could also be put as-"Is God likeable?"
God is an invisible spirit (John 4:24), so we have to look to Jesus to "see" God.
Jesus made it plain he himself WASN'T God, and said-
"For I have not spoken on my own authority; but the Father who sent me gave me a command, what I should say and what I should speak" (John 12:49)

So when Jesus said to the snooty priestly classes-
"You're full of ****!" (Matt 23:27)

those words really came from God, so to answer your question, yeah, I think i like God..Smile
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean" (Matt 23:27)

Atheists have you on ignore and vote down your posts. On the other hand, Rex is a good guy and will, no doubt, welcome our conversations to his arena.

So, continue beating the air. (1 Corinthians 9:26)

The German bishop who spent 42 million Euros of church money on a new home definitely believes in god.

I guess he feels that god would not want him to live in a shabby place.

Not so sure about that. According to the general principle that nothing is entirely anything while everything is partly something else, the apodictical existential pantheist considers God, It, She, hardly concrete but largely abstract

Thus the Universe is Her body and all the activity therein Her mind at work

Best I can tell is you leave most forums before round three. So nobody gets to 15.

Between you and me mate, I came to A2K looking to trash Mormons, Rapturists, Catholics, Protestants, JW's, Muslims, Buddhists, Feminist ratbags, Satanists, Atheists, Fairy Queen worshippers and so on, but most of them are keepng their heads down and are ducking a fight.
In fact the profiles of most members here are blank or almost blank as if they're too ashamed or embarrassed to say what they are and I'm beginning to wonder if this is a forum or a chicken coop, cluck...cluck...cluck....Smile

You are about 6 years late.
Unbelievers have boiled away most of the believers.
And some of the believers have turned away.

IMV God is sooner an objective - the eternal life of our species perhaps.
Most of the messages of the Bible are highly symbolic (if we exclude the stupidities with the donkey stories, which are most probably forgeries* at the local pub).
Actually forgeries are not to be excluded for before the invention of the printing press in the XVth c. the books have been 'printed' by rewriting by hand and some of the 'publishes' have allowed themselves to 'improve the texts'. How can one accept that the theory for rising yourself spiritually and the elementary stories appearing in the Bible could be a reasoning at one and the same level.
In the capacity of being highly symbolic the Word of God should be cleared at first from any donkeys ... and other stupidities from the local pub and restored to its former glory.
The restored original text has to be interpreted at the level of reasoning and understanding of the world at which it actually is.

@RexRed,
If God is not real, where do human beings find the motivation to lift others in status and social prestige, as is explored in the Hollywood (USA) movie "Celebrity" (1998)?

Perhaps fame, honor, and deification are related to prosperity (or health) hypotheses, a suggestion that reveals the humanist marketability of body configuration avatars such as Iceman.

From my vantage point, god is a subject without evidence.
