Between you and me mate, I came to A2K looking to trash Mormons, Rapturists, Catholics, Protestants, JW's, Muslims, Buddhists, Feminist ratbags, Satanists, Atheists, Fairy Queen worshippers and so on, but most of them are keepng their heads down and are ducking a fight.

Most of the messages of the Bible are highly symbolic (if we exclude the stupidities with the donkey stories, which are most probably forgeries* at the local pub).
Actually forgeries are not to be excluded for before the invention of the printing press in the XVth c. the books have been 'printed' by rewriting by hand and some of the 'publishes' have allowed themselves to 'improve the texts'. How can one accept that the theory for rising yourself spiritually and the elementary stories appearing in the Bible could be a reasoning at one and the same level.
In the capacity of being highly symbolic the Word of God should be cleared at first from any donkeys ... and other stupidities from the local pub and restored to its former glory.
The restored original text has to be interpreted at the level of reasoning and understanding of the world at which it actually is.
