@FBM,
Quote:

I prefer Paul Feyerabend, but nevertheless, if you don't have evidence for your claim, you ain't got nothing but rhetoric. It's not scientism, it's common sense.
"I'll have that Porsche. The red one."
"Do you have enough to pay for it?"
"Of course."
"We'll need to see some evidence of that."
"Why? I've already said that I have the money."

I know about Feyeraband, and Thomas Kuhn etc. So what?
However, calling something common sense doesnt make it common sense.
You are just giving one example in which it is important to have material things.
I don't disagree with that example at all!
But when it comes to the 'soul' of whatever you want to call it, were not in this space-time realm anymore. Therefore I stated to study Tesla.
He was way more intelligent then the village idiot called Einstein.

Furthermore, babies have talked to parents before their birth and people have talked to others after they die.
So, there is an intelligence' that lives forever.
(of course there is, when we are born we are infinite endless consciousnes, and from start we are being brainwashed and indoctrrinated into thinking we are a real human being called "Ethel Smith" or "Dr. Jones" we are not. we are infinite consciousness having an experience in this dimension,)

I hope you'll forgive me for asking for better evidence than a Bill Hicks quote to support these claims...

Y'know. Something we can actually look at, hear, experience in some way. I don't think that's much to ask.

Or if you think that's excessive, please send me 10,000 dollars so that I will prevent you from driving into a tree next week.

Strange indeed!
take he Big Bang, according to your definition it didn't exist. (there indeed was never a biggie bangie see another thread).
You can't look at it, can't hear it, can't experience it in some way.
Or do you agree the Big bang never existed then?

try again?

@Romeo Fabulini,
Are you saying your father is in eternal punishment while you are headed for the pearlies?

Amazing.

I'm glad you are not God.

Now I'm quite certain that christianity teaches that animals do not have immortal souls and do not go to heaven.
As for a definiton...it's impossible to assign one to something that does not exist.
Well, you have got that right. They do not have souls. They are souls

Well, you said you had nothing in common with and had nothing to say to your father, that you didn't want him. How will that play out with a merciful God? Are you going to forgive your father, someday? Do you suppose, Jesus will forgive you if you don't?

Which is to say that "man chose to offend a god who seems to be offended by damn near everything."

That is what a sin is...something that offends this god.

And the god punishes "man" for offending...in ways that would make Hannibal Lecter cringe.

I don't bear him any grudge mate, he talked funny tripe because that's simply the way he WAS, so there's nothing to forgive..Smile
Likewise you've called me "ignorant, malicious, fable-spinner, talks drivel, a deceiver, a liar, self-deluded, a threat to pygmy possums" etc but I know that's just tripe too and attach no importance to it, it's FUNNY and gives me and my fans a good laugh..Smile
