I'm still young, but I'm wondering how is it like to be married? I need an answer from a married man/woman. Any answer is welcomed, though

@shahen22,
I'd rather have a sharp stick in my eye.

@Ragman,
I couldn't have phrased it any better.

on the other hand...

it can be a very nice arrangement.

both sides need to compromise, and both have to be mature enough to do so... 2 Cents

@Region Philbis,
I know a few happily married couples, so I'm not knocking it unconditionally. It just ain't for me.

@FBM,
I agree ... times 2.

However, there are quite a few couples...typically those who choose to get married after about age 28-or 30 yrs of age who work it out. I was not one of those lucky ones. I got married at 29 (wife same) and then again at age 37 (wife 32).

My preference for a long term relationship is to live together...preferably on different floors.

@Ragman,
Well, if different houses can't be arranged, different floors might be acceptable. Wink

@FBM,
Seriously, I do like that idea. With a couple who become long-term after age 40... so many men and many women have such different daily habits...have totally different quarters but still under the same roof is pretty practical.

And another practicality... for those who couples who have pets from before they were a couple ... there are no pet fights as they have separate kingdoms.

@Ragman,
Yeah, it's a good arrangement, no doubt, as long as both are comfortable with it. You plant trees too close to each other and neither one flourishes. Or if one does, the other suffers for it. There's a delicate balance that has to be worked out uniquely for each couple, I think.

When I was young, old men used to say "If there had been electric blankets and sliced bread when I was a young man, I'd never have got married."

@shahen22,
Have you ever wondered why people laugh at weddings, and cry at funerals...

it is because they aren't the one's involved.

@Ragman,
I think we had a thread here once about different houses, wherein many of us agreed. Or maybe that is my imagination. No memory of the thread title, and the diff houses part might have shown up later in the thread.
