Four dead Americans in Benghazi

The GOP crisis is the four dead Americans in Benghazi.

What ever happened to the over 4,000 dead Americans who fought in the illegal war in Iraq and cost billions of wasted tax money and the increase in our deficit?

This is a crisis? They create their own crisis to change the subject of the GOP congress doing nothing for the past five years!

An election must be in our near future. They can't talk about a) minorities voting democratic, b) their actions to take away voting rights from Americans, c) discrimination against women and minorities, d) and they talk about "can the American people have confidence in our government?"

@cicerone imposter,
I love how you guys always want to bring up Bush when Obama is getting into trouble. Talk about trying to pull a fast one. "Don't look over here, look over there! Remember all the things Bush did? Don't worry about Obama, he is perfect, it was Bush!"

This has been the running theme for the last 5 years, and from the looks of it, it will be the running theme for the next 3 years.

@Baldimo,

The few that continue buying into Obama and his ilk blaming GWB for every issue that confronts mankind are in the minority.
The majority of Americans are pointing at the guy that's been president for 5 years, his name is Barack Hussein Obama.

BHO not GWB.

CI is one of those few that are still buying what Obama is selling...

This administration has tentacles that reach far & wide, judging from their tactics used thus
far I suspect there is a plethora of unconstitutional & illegal actives that are hidden from view.

The good news... Obama and Carney have pissed of the press in a big way, expect some good
old fashioned investigative reporting generated by former members of the Obama media.
God knows there are plenty of big stories to go around... just think of what a few angry & eager news ferrets can uncover.

Perhaps most notable as the president’s men dodged questions was the rare
unified field of criticisms from news organizations on the left and the right.

@Baldimo,
What else is coming down the pipe?
As many false scandals as possible.
Benghazi is a joke by now, beaten into the ground and there still is no there there.
The IRS needs not to pay any attention to the little fish pretending to Social Welfare Organizations and go after the two biggest ones, both of which ran political ads during the campaign in violation of their tax exempt status. One ran them for Romney, the other for Obama.
BUT ALL so-called Social Welfare Organizations ought to be re-examined each year and renewed basely solely on the past year's activities.

As for the AP, I'm speaking now as both a former Top Secret Code Word cleared individual and a former member of a news gathering broadcasting team. News is news. Intelligence is Intelligence. You don't publish intelligence, you publish news.
Who ever leaked the intelligence regarding the Al Qaeda cell in Yemen to the AP is in violation of his/her employment agreement and is subject to a jail term. They endangered American lives through their actions. The AP has an obligation both to produce the news and safeguard American lives.

@Baldimo,
True. That's all true, and look how the crisis has become the GOP crisis.

No, the GOP did not cause or create a crisis here. It was the Executive (person and branch) which made the murder of an American Ambassador into a bigger crisis than it needed to be by blaming some unknown video that no one would have ever heard of if it hadn't been promoted to worldwide attention.

@roger,
Where's the crisis that the GOP is attempting to solve?

@cicerone imposter,
Nothing to solve at this point. The coverup has been uncovered.

Radical changes to our current tax code and how we do taxation are what's needed.

Flat, Fair & 9-9-9, all three deserve a vote.

Once that is done we need to address the education system and how we do education.

Health care that is actually affordable would be next.

When GW Bush was pres:

January 22, 2002. Calcutta, India. Gunmen associated with Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami attack the U.S. Consulate. Five people are killed.

June 14, 2002. Karachi, Pakistan. Suicide bomber connected with al Qaeda attacks the U.S. Consulate, killing 12 and injuring 51.

October 12, 2002. Denpasar, Indonesia. U.S. diplomatic offices bombed as part of a string of "Bali Bombings." No fatalities.

February 28, 2003. Islamabad, Pakistan. Several gunmen fire upon the U.S. Embassy. Two people are killed.

May 12, 2003. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Armed al Qaeda terrorists storm the diplomatic compound, killing 36 people including nine Americans. The assailants committed suicide by detonating a truck bomb.

July 30, 2004. Tashkent, Uzbekistan. A suicide bomber from the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan attacks the U.S. Embassy, killing two people.

December 6, 2004. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Al Qaeda terrorists storm the U.S. Consulate and occupy the perimeter wall. Nine people are killed.

March 2, 2006. Karachi, Pakistan again. Suicide bomber attacks the U.S. Consulate killing four people, including U.S. diplomat David Foy who was directly targeted by the attackers. (I wonder if Lindsey Graham or Fox News would even recognize the name "David Foy." This is the third Karachi terrorist attack in four years on what's considered American soil.)

September 12, 2006. Damascus, Syria. Four armed gunmen shouting "Allahu akbar" storm the U.S. Embassy using grenades, automatic weapons, a car bomb and a truck bomb. Four people are killed, 13 are wounded.

January 12, 2007. Athens, Greece. Members of a Greek terrorist group called the Revolutionary Struggle fire a rocket-propelled grenade at the U.S. Embassy. No fatalities.

March 18, 2008. Sana'a, Yemen. Members of the al-Qaeda-linked Islamic Jihad of Yemen fire a mortar at the U.S. Embassy. The shot misses the embassy, but hits nearby school killing two.

July 9, 2008. Istanbul, Turkey. Four armed terrorists attack the U.S. Consulate. Six people are killed.

September 17, 2008. Sana'a, Yemen. Terrorists dressed as military officials attack the U.S. Embassy with an arsenal of weapons including RPGs and detonate two car bombs. Sixteen people are killed, including an American student and her husband (they had been married for three weeks when the attack occurred). This is the second attack on this embassy in seven months.

A few observations about this timeline. My initial list was quoted from an article on the Daily Kos which actually contained several errors and only 11 attacks (the above timeline contains all 13 attacks). Also, my list above doesn't include the numerous and fatal attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad during the Iraq war -- a war that was vocally supported by Lindsey Graham, John McCain and Fox News Channel.

Speaking of Graham, I ran a search on each attack along with the name "Lindsey Graham" in the hopes of discovering that Graham had perhaps commented about the attacks or raised some questions about why the administration didn't prevent the attacks or respond accordingly to prevent additional embassy attacks. No results.
