Funny how certain loud mouths conservatives definitive statements become less so when they are confronted with their statements.

Quote:
"Do you believe that the White House purposely misled the American people on Benghazi to try to beat you and Mitt Romney and win the election?" host Chris Wallace asked.

"I don't know the answer to that question," Ryan responded. "Rather make a conclusion before an investigation has been completed, we just need to investigate this for the sake of good government."

As recently as last week, Ryan insisted to conservative radio that there is "no doubt" a cover-up took place, an assertion that remains on his official congressional website.

@revelette,
Let them continue to create crisis after crisis; their voices are loud, but isn't being heard. They don't understand that crying 'FIRE' too often losses its effect and impact.

Only their credibility is being hurt, but they DON'T KNOW THAT!

@cicerone imposter,
What credibility are you talking about. The garbage posts waterman is always putting up. By the way, where does he get the garbage he posts. Is he a paid ultra conservative operative?

@RABEL222,
What little "credibility" they have left; according to polls it's now sitting at 9%.

There are die-hard conservatives that have no brains. Many have seen enough of the GOP bullshit to know that's all they are now. Those 9% still follow the GOP mantra.

@cicerone imposter,
Another mountain being created where there isn't even a small ant hill.

Quote:
“The president is a strong defender of the First Amendment and a firm believer in the need for the press to be unfettered in its ability to conduct investigative reporting and facilitate a free flow of information,” White House press secretary Jay Carney insisted last week. “He also, of course, recognizes the need for the Justice Department to investigate alleged criminal activity without undue influence.”

Can't anyone figure it out? If the Justice Department fails to investigate "alleged criminal activity" and something happens, who do you think will be the first to call Obama incompetent? WHO?

The members of the GOP establishment; no if's, and's or but's.

GW Bush authorized torture. That's not only against US laws but international laws also.

FACT: If the liberals attacked everything GW Bush did during his presidency, what's being charged against Obama now will look like chocolate cake!

Where were all the cries when GW Bush REALLY BROKE THE LAWS?

These yokels have the audacity to cry "fire" every time something happens under Obama's presidency, and MOST, if not all, have turned out to be FALSE.

They're still working on Benghazi, and voted on ObamaCare 37 times!

They're a bunch of IDIOTS!

NO, it's not Obama's fault. The president does not MICROMANAGE all the departments of the US government. NO PRESIDENT DOES. THAT'S A FACT YOU CAN TAKE TO THE BANK.

See! You're wrong AGAIN!

Fair enough. He couldn't be expected to know what was going on in an obscure hick town in some insignificant country like Libya, even a week after it all happened. How on earth would he know what was going on in Justice with regard to AP investigations. Ditto for IRS selective enforcement of conservative organizations. Now, we find that White House counsel knew of those IRS activities a week or more before our president first heard about in in a newspaper. Can't the poor fellow even keep up with what's going on in his own house?

@roger,
What are you trying to chase? Benghazi is passe news. Stewart didn't accept increased security when the general in charge of security in Africa asked him two times! Stewart said "no."

You're as bad as McCain et al who accuse this administration and Clinton of what they did wrong. Actually, nothing!

The GOP cut security funding for our embassies. You can take that to the bank.

As for the IRS issue, they're supposed to investigate any organization applying for nonprofit status - to ensure they are being established for the purpose for which they are applying.

@cicerone imposter,
Why do you keep posting that the GOP cut the budget, when I have posted proof that the dems did the exact same thing?
Why do you refuse to blame both parties, instead of just the GOP.

@cicerone imposter,
Uh, everything seems to be "passe news" when you don't like it.

And the IRS didn't investigate all organizations. That's why we're using words like 'selective' and 'political profiling'.

@roger,
No. It's been covered in most of the national and international news media. What more do you expect?

A little google search will prove me right.

@roger,
Here are the facts on the IRS brouhaha that the GOP and people like "you" are calling a "crisis."

http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/johncassidy/2013/05/the-irs-and-the-tea-party-where-is-the-scandal.html

Refute anything in that article from credible sources. That means any place other than any conservative media source.

@cicerone imposter,
That's hard to do, when any credible source that has information you disagree with or don't like you immediately call them a "conservative media source".

You're doing a good job, CI. But the Republicans will continue to investigate regardless of the lack of facts to bolster their positions, the same way White Water was pursued throughout the whole of Clinton's presidency. Meanwhile avoiding doing any meaningful work as Senators and Congressmen.

@edgarblythe,
These guys don't remember anything.

Here's another one of those budget cuts to the IRS by the GOP, and now they're crying foul!

Quote:
America's Debt Crisis
IRS budget in the crosshairs

President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner don't agree on much in the way of spending cuts.

By Charles Riley, staff reporterMarch 9, 2011: 11:41 AM ET

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- If the Internal Revenue Service is able to hire more enforcement agents, will the federal budget deficit shrink?

The White House says yes. President Obama's budget for 2012 includes millions more dollars to enforce the tax code -- money that the IRS would use to identify and pursue tax cheats.

Turns out, IRS agents make good on the investment, collecting $3 to $4 for every greenback spent tracking down money owed to the government. The funds help bring down the deficit.

One problem: The IRS is facing a potential big cut in its budget.

The Republican spending plan for the rest of the fiscal year would strip the IRS of $600 million in funding -- including $285 million from the agency's enforcement budget. In addition to their fervor to cut spending, some Republicans want to starve the IRS of resources it needs to implement last year's health care reform law.

For those who are new to A2K, 'TNCFS' means There's No Cure For Stupid.

They create the problems, then they complain that something has gone wrong. Yup, TNCFS.

Isn't it strange that the GOP cuts funding for the IRS, and their work piles up? Very strange!
