@Frank Apisa,
I must admit that the ministrations of Henry Ford
may have resulted in more deaths than those of Pol Pot,
but Ford does not build skull pyramids from his victims.

@Frank Apisa,
I wonder how many people have been killed as a result of liberals
having un-Constitutionally disarmed them before violent felonies
were fatally perpetrated upon them.

You asked me how they were doing...not what they had done.

All four mentioned are, as nearly as I can determine, returning to elements.

Beats me. Ask one of the liberals...they might know.

In any case, if guns make a nation safer and more polite...why are we not the safest, most polite society on the planet???????????????????????

(Notice that it is a question.)

You just never seem to answer that, David.

Note that I dont know whether America
has more guns per capita than the other nations do,
but too many people in America run around disgracefully un-armed.
(Sadly, for me, the enfeeblement of age might force me to join their number.
My ability to walk has declined somewhat; I dunno how long I can support the weight of the guns.)
It will work better when near 1OO% of the ambient and ambulant citizenry is conspicuously well armed.
Do u believe that exposed carrying of firearms shud be required by statute, for public safety and politeness??

I dunno, but I SUSPECT that years ago when highway-men shot at me,
that assumed that their prey was un-armed, until the advent of my OWN gun
in stainless steel mirror upon the scene, whereupon thay departed hence, apace.

All the stats I've ever seen show that we do...and that whoever comes in second is a very, very distant second. We have almost 90 small arms per person in our country...and the next nearest has less than 60!

Google it...you'll see.

Ahhh...again maintaining that more guns will make us safer and more polite.

Why are we not already the safest and most polite nation on Earth...considering the fact that we have more guns per capita than any other country on the planet?? (There is that question again.)

Frank, I keep answering your question
and u keep pretending that I did not;
here I go AGAIN, redundantly:
THE REASON IS INSUFFICIENT GUNS.

NOT ENUF PEOPLE R WELL ARMED.
WHEN EVERYONE IS SUFFICIENTLY WELL ARMED,
THEN THE NATION WILL BE MORE POLITE
AND THERE WILL BE LESS CRIME
.

The NEXT time that u ask me
the same question again,
I will tell u that the answer is INSUFFICIENT ARMAMENT
BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE REMAIN UN-ARMED
.

The time after next
that u ask me that again, I will tell u the same thing.

No, David. I did not get it...because the answer makes no sense.

The question is about the fact that we already are better armed (more guns per capita than any other country)...so WHY ARE WE NOT ALREADY THE SAFEST AND MOST POLITE SOCIETY ON EARTH.

Your response (I won't even call it an answer) makes as much sense as replying: The average distance is 93,000,000...which is referred to as one astronomical unit.

Now...any chance you can actually answer the question?

@Frank Apisa,
(Before answering your question AGAIN,
I will question that America has more guns per capita
than anywhere else; we have only your word for that.)

I DID actually answer the question.
U just dont get the applicable concept.
In addition to re-iterating what I already told u,
by way of even further supportive explanation for your comprehension:
the concept is that so many people go around un-armed that there is no
presumption of armament in the citizenry, neither predators nor prey
.
(That is NOT true everywhere.)
Many people (including me) who have made it a practice of being armed
in their own defense make a particular point of NOT brandishing their ordnance
and disfavor discussion of personal matters of armament, while face-to-face,
for security reasons.

Have u forgotten what happened to the beloved florist Dion O'Banion ?
He let it be known that he always carried 3 handguns; his tailor
had sewn in 3 pockets into his suits to accomodate their wear.
During the final moments of his Earthly life, a customer entered Dion 's flower shop
and he most effusively proceeded to shake hands with Dion. While so engaged,
2 men flanked Dion and executed remote acts of surgery upon him without
his informed consent. Dion failed to survive the lethal handshake.
The moral of the story is: don t let others know
your personal protective stance qua defensive ordnance.
I suspect that a lot of citizens deem that to be wise.

You cannot answer it AGAIN, David...because you have not come close to answering it a first time yet.

Google "guns per capita" or "handguns per capita"...you will get over a million hits...and they will show America as having the highest gun ownership of every country. We not only have more personal guns than any other country...FAR MORE...we also have FAR MORE personal guns per capita than any other country.

FAR MORE!

There is no question about that...you are pretending here, David.

I am not interested in that, David...and that has NOTHING to do with the question...the question you have not even come close to answering.

We are the most well armed country BY FAR on this planet...so why, considering your reasoning...are we not ALREADY the safest and most polite nation on Earth?

Try actually answering THAT question...rather than beating around the bush.

I AM WISE ENOUGH to realize that...and I do not reveal my personal protective stance...unlike you, who constantly disregards your own advise.

So...how about answering the question. Why, considering you reasoning and the fact that we are the nation with the greatest personal armory...why are we not the safest and most polite nation on the planet?

Frank the reason why we are not the safest country is because our guns are not new enough. They are only 2013 models. They are not the latest greatest with the automatic glow in the dark rounds and 5 mile scopes. Also owning five automatic rifles per person is simply not adequate. The mentally disabled, disgruntled students and employees, felons and would be terrorists are so poorly armed. Three year olds at daycare are not taught to shoot first ask questions later!

This is why our country is not the safest, yea... Our 2 amendment rights are being violated by Obama! Arm the crazies!!! (cynical)

No David, it is not called "sever discrimination", it is called background checks.

People discriminate THEMSELVES by their own lot and behavior in life.

If you want to own a gun you should have a clean background.

That is the whole point, that guns in the wrong hands become a public menace.

If less crazies have guns than less average people will feel the need to carry protection. That is the crux of equal protection.

When the citizenry arms itself sufficiently
everywhere that people expect them all (or enuf of them) to be armed,
then politeness will increase and criminal depredations will reduce,
out of the criminals' concern for their own safety. The Samurai displayed their swords conspicuously.
Consequently, there was plenty of politeness, in all directions.

We need to convince more citizens to carry their guns with them,

@OmSigDAVID,
That is absolutely the stupidest argument I have ever heard. An armed society is not a polite society. It is more an anarchic society, as witness Somalia. As witness America today. As the US has been proving, the more guns we have, the more crazies have guns. And the more they use them.
