Gun crimes dropping, despite public perception

@H2O MAN,

I will not read articles from Fox News. (period)

But let's break this headline down. "Gun crimes dropping, despite public perception"

Which is probably a lie anyway, but, how about wording it like this...

"Gun crimes dropping, with renewed public perception" (now that is an ethical news headline) Gun loving repubtards have only hindered gun reform "perception" and actually perpetuated and tried to legitimize gun violence...

No Fox News story is going to successfully white-wash the racism and gun envy of the repugs...

For many years to come the repugs will be associated with violence (tea party), homophobia and racism...

Still proud to be a republican? (and you dare speak of "intelligence" HA!)

Intelligent people rationally reason away their disputes...

@RexRed,

Great, research the headline and you will see the same
truth posted on more familiar news outlet web sites.

@RexRed,
Rex, Will you read the actual report, or will you discount it because Fox news reported it?

@mysteryman,
I looked over the report. I did not and will not read Fox's take on it. Fox twists things, just like the past article you posted that tried to insult a whole race of people. Sometimes subtle but still devious is Fox News.

I left Fox News when the Tea Party came into the picture and I will never go back to that network.

The last thing I remember watching on Fox news was the over glorification of New York City hot dog vendor who refused to serve people who could not speak English. I realized I could no longer in good conscience ever let Fox News in my head again...

Rupert Murdoch is Australian and it just happens Australia has more unique languages spoken there than most of the rest of the world combined...

What a shame and what a pathetic human being that he has the audacity to to let his network openly bash other languages by glorifying bigots...

All human language is my love and art form and I vehemently take offence.

That network tried to turn me into a racist and that in my book is unforgivable...

The problem is not guns but the people who are wrongly given access to them. And the US is still the most violent country in the world. With freedom comes a need for responsible adults...

As the feminists say, "We have come a long way baby" but there is a long way to go still... The shootings in the news each day confirms that.

And besides background checks, parents who allow children unfettered access to guns should also be scrutinized by the law and child protective services...

Quote.. I left Fox News when the Tea Party came into the picture and I will never go back to that network... unquote

I made that same decision long before that... It was when I suddenly realised, that it was no longer a source of "news" but a clever.. Racist, religious, hate filled, money hungry.... propaganda machine.

I have always been against most guns... What can I say... I just don't like them.
I remember my 3rd birthday, and the time leading up to it,
but I cannot remember any time that I did not LOVE and lust for guns,
especially handguns.

At that age, and later ages, I oogled revolvers strapped onto the hips of NYC Police
and enjoyed them in my memory, in bed at nite.

At age 6, a Catholic Priest showed me a Luger P-08
and said: "This is a German Luger."
It grabbed my brain and did not let go until I got one, years later.
It is very comfortable in my hand,
like getting a hand massage; it's accurate too.

It is stamped "1940" when the English were in WWII,
but before we got into it, in 1941.

Yea, I am a lifelong gun-lover.

I became an NRA member at age 11 and even then I felt ashamed about guns. They did not fit with the idea that, "Jesus loves all the little children of the world." that congregational Sunday school taught me. My whole family knew I was troubled by the whole gun thing.

The New Testament says, "Put on the whole armor of God" and a 38 special (just in case)... Some biblical scholars say "the armor of God" was sports equipment and gear worn by Greek athletes and not meant to be militaristic. We run a race for the prize (blue ribbon or bema Gr.) of the high calling... (not for the medal of honor) The militaristic connotations are said to be corruptions in the text and translations. Yet these corruptions have led to militaristic Christian hymns... Militaristic hymns (isn't that an oxymoron?) I will never be able to reconcile this. Likewise, "Put all to the sword"... I am no longer religious but I still love my neighbor and respect all living things (except spiders) hehe... This love does not permit me to entertain violence and the trappings thereof. I hope your dreams of war have given you a good outlook on life... You have seemed like a nice person from what I have seen over the years so I will leave it at that.

I Play My Guitar

When life plays me like a game
It doesn't matter just the same
Silly games don't get too far
I play my guitar

When friends I have don't hang around
And the love we lost just can't be found
Even though it gets me down
I play my guitar

CHORUS
I'll play this same old song
It's never done me wrong
I'll play it in the night
And 'till my ending day
I'll play and I'll play
And I'll play
My guitar

In this world of melody
The crazy life makes sense to me
Angry words just fade away
I play my guitar

Though I'm just a bitter man
It helps me to keep my guitar in hand
Helps to keep a little insane
I play my guitar

CHORUS
I'll play this same old song
It's never done me wrong
I'll play it in the night
And 'till my ending day
I'll play and I'll play
And I'll play
My guitar...

@gungasnake,
The auto is cool the gun is a little out of place... I hope the world never comes to a place like that. The world seems abstract enough as it is. The van is really a cherry... Smile

I feel like photoshoping the photo and putting a heart over top of the gun...

I once was driving down the road in my car. It was twilight, and my eyes were dim. I was talking with a friend while I was driving. I looked up for a moment and three deer there who were in the road. I swerved and darted around each one the sun was directly in my eyes. I said to my friend in the passenger seat something like whipty doo, and we sailed through three deer in the road and just drove off. Yikes i was going at least forty miles per hour and well i am/they are still here... Smile
