Quote:“Every law-abiding, blind individual should be able to have whatever guns they want.” While that idea may sound shocking to some, it’s the basis of the NRA’s newest YouTube announcement.
In the NRA News episode, former US Navy Seal Dom Raso calls upon viewers to ponder the possibility of legislation allowing gun rights to apply to the visually impaired. The video introduces Raso to a heavy-metal electric guitar riff before he delves into the reasons why Americans should consider the possibility of blind citizens carrying firearms. According to Raso, those who won’t do so “don’t take [their] rights seriously enough.”
This should make OmSigDAVID happy.
Is this a case of the blind leading the blind?
They should be allowed to drive cars, too . . .
@Lustig Andrei,
Andy, this is off topic but putting it here so you'll be likely to see this - to wish you safety re the on coming storms -

@ossobuco,
Thnx for the link, Osso, but I think it's over-reaction. By the time it reaches here, it's likely to be no more than a tropical storm, unlikely to cause the kind of mayhem everyone is anticipating.
@Setanta,
Ray Charles used to fly his own plane.
@Lustig Andrei,
That's good, and I realized later it's still far off, things change, and felt dumb for posting it here. Back to shooting while blind..
@farmerman,
Wasn't there a semi-mythic tradition about a blind Zen archer who never missed his target?
@Lustig Andrei,
Was his target always his foot?
@Lustig Andrei,
Well, it'll introduce more randomness into the natural selection process.

I really hate to agree with ossobuco on something, but try to keep tabs on both hurricanes so that you are not caught unawares if one of them does come at you hard.
Arm the Blind!
Should it not be eye the blind?

Well, the buttons on the drive-through ATM have raised Braille dots.
Don't arm the blind, because they can't aim, but absolutely do let the average person own the means to protect himself and his family.
I have pondered, long and hard, since the issue arose. And, I've finally concluded, what they need is nunchucks and boomerangs. The former for close combat, the latter for when the crooks have taken your money and are running away. But for cheeses sake, don't let them have a gun and accidentally harm themselves.
