@OmSigDAVID,
And later that evening Jesus said... (not so you can take his words out of context David)

Matthew 26:52 (KJV)
Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

So maybe you should put those words in your own mouth...

And Paul wrote "the sword" is the word of God...

Ephesians 6:17 (KJV)
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Jesus was referring to future salvation and likening it to a sword... Which Paul's revelations e seem to supply.

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

@RexRed,
Are you one of those non-religious people who only like to use religion against it's followers? You don't believe a word you read in the bible but are more than happy to use it against others?

Of course; I agree with that.
Swordfighting is dangerous; if u do it too much,
it will likely shorten your life. The same is true of gunfights and racing cars fast.

According to U,
Paul has the authority to re-write and amend Jesus???????

Note that Jesus spoke of selling your cloak
to raise money to buy the sword, if necessary.
U don't use money to purchase the spirit.

@OmSigDAVID,
And the Buddhists are in the process of ethnic cleansing in S.E, Asia, Ghandi was killed by a gun, a Beretta, Mother Theresa, who Germaine Greer said a few hard things about, was awarded a money prize deriving from armaments manufacture profit and Jesus did say, assuming Him to have been correctly reported, what Dave says He said.

@spendius,
Compared to David, Mother Teresa was a saint (I know that may not be saying much) ... So the anti-gun coalition of the world needs work. Does that mean we give up on a peaceful coexistence? More guns are certainly not the answer... Egypt and Syria and U.S. Civil war proved that.

Regardless, I am not planning on buying a sword any day soon...

I prefer to live by the heart, rather than the sword. It has worked for me so far.

He was honored to be killed by a Beretta.
It is the world's oldest gunsmith.
If Christopher Columbus had lived about another 5 years,
he cud have bought one. Then he cud have brought it to the New World.

FOR THE RECORD:
I have not mimicked her
(tho, for fun, I have given some cash to people who did not expect it).

So have I. It's nothing special. Certainly not enough to be continually reminding us.

As long as you enjoyed it Dave. That's the main thing.

It can be; maybe u r not doing it right.
(Tho not every time), I 've had them literally jumping for joy!

There is no reason for secrecy.
I was not sure what Mother Teresa did it; if she gave away cash
to un-expecting people, then I cud not truly say that I had not done the same thing.

Indeed; yes, but I have empathetically enjoyed it more
when it was well received. It was NOT always.

@spendius,
There have been different reactions to it.
RASKing; Random Acts of Senseless Kindness;
e.g., I gave a troop of Boy Scouts at a gunnery range
a few hundred $$ for ammunition and ice cream.
Thay were happy n sent me a huge gratitude card.

On the other hand, I gave a beautiful cashier $1OO,
in exchange for nothing, and she became loudly enraged.

Aussie baseball player killed by "bored" Okla. teens, police say
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57599302/aussie-baseball-player-killed-by-bored-okla-teens-police-say/

I wonder if "a life for a life" would make "bored teens" think twice before randomly gunning down a person? I wonder if it would make parents think twice before arming their "bored teens"...

What makes you think the parents armed the teens? Do you know how silly you sound.

@Baldimo,
I am sure the teens went to a gun show and bought them without question due to insane republican laws or the guns were locked away in a steel safe and the kids sandblasted the safe to get them out... Perhaps the angel fairy came down from fantasy land, one wave of their magic wand and "poof" the kids were armed!!! Now who sounds silly here? Exactly what part of "murdering teens with guns" do you think is silly? I hope you got a good belly laugh at the dead man's expense... (cynical) Hillbilly goons and goobers with half-wit tea party parents...

Suspect apprehended after report of shots fired at Atlanta-area school

Should we really allow tea party members to vote? People who aren't loyal to our flag, they aren't loyal to our democratically elected president and they aren't loyal to the American people...

What kind of crap are you talking about. You have already passed judgement without any facts, just a lot of bad guessing.

What are you going on about? Don't even talk to be about loyalty to our country, I'm willing to bet I have given more than you have to this country. Ever served in the military?

Loyalty to our President? Where does it say I have to be loyal to the President? Even the military doesn't pledge to be loyal to the President, they pledge a loyalty to the Constitution. You seem to think the President is above us all don't you?

@RexRed,
And if this story is to be believed, the 3 killers were all black...

http://www.wnd.com/2013/08/police-black-teens-kill-white-man-for-fun/

If that's true, where are the feds to file civil rights charges?
Where are all the protesters calling this killing a racially motivated hate crime?
Where are all the Trayvon Martin supporters to blame the victim for being white?

I wonder if Obama is going to come out and say this young man could have been him or his son?
I bet he doesn't.
I am also willing to bet that this story wont get any more news coverage than it has already gotten, because its "not important" enough to cover.

So, does that mean that you will swear loyalty to the next repub president elected, even though you don't like repubs?
If you don't, should you be allowed to vote?

School Shooting in Georgia, Alleged Gunman in Custody
http://news.yahoo.com/video/school-shooting-georgia-alleged-gunman-233920396.html

Would a school monitor with a hand gun have been able to fend off these military style weapons? Shall we arm school custodians with canons and tanks or disarm the public of such military style weapons?

Even spit balls have been banned from schools...

@mysteryman,
There won't be a repub president unless the repubs continue to disenfranchise voters...

Then will the president be democratically elected? Our current president is legitimate...

No republican president can claim legitimacy due to criminal voter suppression perpetrated by the conservative party...
