@oralloy,
I'm looking at the title of this thread : "Why There Cannot Be Peace Between Israel and the Palestinians"

Suddenly I'm understanding why there can't be peace. People who aren't even at war with one another are so locked into their points of view and busy calling the other names without a care or a minimum of civility. Peace has no chance.

@Ragman,
Can't you even say who's right or wrong?

I'm an advocate for equal treatment of all humans. What's your excuse?

That one is easy. You anti-Semites are wrong.

Hardly. You're a scumbag anti-Semite.

@oralloy,
One can hardly be called an anti-semite for wanting peace for the Palestinians, as they are Semites as well.

Hey Oralloy, blanket statements such as yours that condemn an entire group of people is bigoted, racist and hateful. You're part of the problem. To vilify each other is called propaganda. Get that Fox news channel bias out of your ass.

They can if their supposed "wish for peace" involves anti-Semititic hate speech.

Given that the only reason that the Palestinians have no peace is because of their insistence on trying to murder everyone else, wishing peace for them is pretty silly. It would make more sense to wish that they would start being peaceful.

"Anti-Semitism" refers specifically to hate expressed against Jews.

The US doesn't do freedom and democracy. It never has. It does brutal right wing dictators. It does destabilization of sovereign nationswith absolutely zero regard for innocent civilians.

That's thee definition of terrorism and the US is the world's leader in that category. It also excels at crimes against humanity.

The reason he was a terrorist was that he was engaged in terrorist activities.

Care to review the historical record, semen slurper?

No hope for you, oralboy. You were "educated" in the US where education means lies, lies and more lies.

What blanket statements are you referring to?

Where I condemn anti-Semites??? No bigotry or racism there. And condemnation of anti-Semites is certainly nowhere near as hateful as the anti-Semitism itself.

Just the opposite. A large part of the problem is that way anti-Semites spew their hatred unchallenged.

By countering with the truth, I am helping to fix the problem.

aspvenom wrote:

No, not really. Propaganda means something different.

I see you associate Fox News Channel with people who tell the truth.

I don't care for the term anti-Semite, since it does muddy the waters, especially when talking about other Semites. The proper term then should be "Jew Haters"! Now that's a term that many people in the Middle East, Europe, North and South America might really be able to relate to. A term with real "intellectual honesty," I believe.

No, "anti-Semitic" is the proper term for referring to an anti-Semite.

@oralloy,
Listen, Oralboy. You can't expect Israel to be anything more than it is - the spawn of the US, the biggest terrorist nation on the planet. The apple never falls far from the tree.

What can you expect from this heavily subsidized communist/socialist satellite of the US.

Wrong again.

Both terrorism and crimes against humanity involve targeting civilians.

The US doesn't target civilians.

@cicerone imposter,
Both parties are wrong. The world teeters perilously further from peace the longer these parties are in a bloody war with each other.

However, attacking others and calling them names because of differing POV is also an uncivil act.

I see no one here offering any positive solutions. Just seeing more negativity and hate towards anyone who is on opposing side. I see no solution yet either. Other than forcing a truce, if possible.
