Anyway, let's talk. I want to start calling people out. If they can't reveal who the hell they are, then why in hell should we spend any of our waking hours considering what they have to say. I am going to start asking for names and asking the questions:
1) would you sign your real name to that tripe you just wrote?

2) Would you say that to my face if you and I were standing in a bar room?

I think the folk that Joe was addressing in his opening post have a pretty good idea of who they are, without actually being named, hawkeye

evasive. have you seen a list? do you have a mind meld with Joe? are you only assuming that Joe has a list of particulars? i get a bit annoyed when people claim to know the mind of others without first giving some evidence that they know the mind of the other. this ranks right up there with the practice of speaking for others on the unsavory scale.

.... those whose forum identity is based on a desire to shock, who relentlessly push their particular agenda (often the same "issue", over & over & over (!), no matter what the actual subject of the thread is), who twist facts to push their "case", dismiss or ignore perfectly valid counter-arguments to theirs, willfully misinterpret what others have said, or regularly use aggression, insults or denigrating put-downs ("liar!") & resort to patronising & personal ( & often) sexist abuse, etc, etc, etc, to "win' the argument ...

Such posters would never dream of using their real names, for pretty obvious reasons. Nor would they dream of saying half the things they say online in "real life". They might get punched in the nose, or laughed at, or be considered a bit mad, even by the more tolerant.

But I think most here would know who Joe might have been referring to.

me however being more ground based do no know who Joe is referring too, if in fact he has anyone in particular in mind, until and unless he tells us who.
