I don't have anything against the company, and I know Instagram is now owned by Facebook. What I implied by "facebook" was the online social networking service.
I think I would but am willing to confess that if people said some of things I read here to my face I would probably respond just the same most of the time, other times I might couch it a bit more nicely so as not to make others in the vicinity feel awkward, maybe 10% of the time. I have a bit of contact with others via PMs with my real name, I even got interviewed on radio via a contact this way. But really, with some of the nutjobs we have on these boards I don't need contact outside of A2K. I've used Hingehead since 1991 (yep pre-web) and am also an abuzz refugee.
Truth be told I also do it to ensure my work life is separate from internet social life, something I find a lot harder on Facebook - I have three twitter accounts. One for work, one that's an extension of A2K me and one for family friends.
Don' care as lot as Hingehead talks with me.

The majority of us have been together for years, on here and abuzz, so we know each other, so to speak.

Am on line here and on Facebook. With three exceptions, I know all "Friends" there in the flesh, so to speak. When I was on Abuzz, I had the pleasure of meeting several members. When abuzz ended and I found out about a2k, I decided to have a new nom de net..what's next?...OK nextone. Just feel more comfortable with a degree of anonymity
What I write here or on Facebook is what I would say face to face.

Kind of got nagged into it by assorted relatives and friends. My son kept urging me to join, and it's a bit weird. " I'm not your friend, I'm your mother", but I've always liked him as a person, and it's kind of fun to torture him a bit, but I am very aware of boundries and pretty circumspect in what I'll post.
