It looks like Arafat was murdered by the Israelis after all. No surprise there.

@Finn dAbuzz,
Arafat stood up for his people, the IDF has slaughtered Palestinians on an industrial scale, but you don't care one whit about that. Over 300 children murdered in operation cast lead alone.

Like anyone should care one whit about whether or not Arafat met the same end he delivered to hundreds, if not thousands.

Consider the end Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Bush, Clinton, Obama have delivered to millions, Finn.

Really, have you no shame whatsoever? You too, Roger.

Arafat was born in Cairo, Egypt. His father was a Palestinian from Gaza; his mother was Palestinian from Jerusalem.

But I was right, Foof. Oralloy pointed that out.

But come on, Foofie. You're being a grand hypocrite [in this situation, you've always been a terrible hypocrite as regards the myriad crimes of the USA]. I have asked you many a question that you have dutifully ignored.

Ignored, because you do not have any authority to assign to US citizens a responsibility that they do not ethically have. In other words, whatever you discern about the US, in your opinion, in no way is the responsibility of US private citizens. Do not pretend there is some higher moral authority that US citizens need to be concerned about. We can lead our mundane existences without harrassment, if we are not concerned. It is really not my concern what you discern, true or not. Nor by not being concerned does it mean I approve of anything. Sort of like when a priest is asexual. Involved in other things. Now please go away. Your obsession with the US is just sad, in my opinion, since so many people, not born in the US want to come here to give their families a better life. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Any replies will be ignored.

And, I would have to believe that you are very remorseful for the Israelis that are dead, or disfigured, from suicide bombers in busses, cafes, or college cafeterias (the suicide jackets being filled with nails and ball bearings). Remember, it is getting a little late to continue to buy the Arab propaganda that Israel, as a Zionist state is the colonization of Arab land by European Jews. It really reflects the liberaration of Sephardic Jews (aka, Arab Jews, in Arab countries) from being SECOND CLASS CITIZENS for hundreds of years under the hegemoney of "loving" Muslims. In other words, the liberal/progressives have bought the one-sided story that Israel was ONLY supposed to be a safe haven for Jews, just in case another Hitler ever came to power. Well, that is an intangible concept (like life insurance). What is tangible today is that a few million Sephardic Jews are living as first class citizens, because they are living in a Jewish state. They couldn't even leave their prior countries; only after the 1957 war were they liberated.

And, the willingness to kill Arabs is different amongst the Sephardic Israelis than the shrinking population of Israelis of European descent. Perhaps, the Sephardim have what is called a VENDETTA. Now you can see that from their perspective they are not the European usurpers that many liberal/progressives believe, when Israel is discussed. It is really a turf war amongst two monotheistic Arab faiths. One older than the other by at least two millenia.

Name at least one Palestinian leader before Arafat?

Choose any date from history and tell what the approximate exchange rate of the Palestinian monetary unit against the US dollar, German Mark, GB pound,or the Japaneses yen on that date?
Since there is no such country of Palestine today what caused its demise and when did it occur?
Why did the Palestinians never try to become independent until after the devastating defeat of invading Arab countries in 1967?

Hit it Wally. I await the answers.

I think that's a fair assumption to make about Izzy, Foofie. You, on the other hand, have never expressed the slightest bit of remorse for the millions slaughtered by the US, for the half a million Iraqi children who were murdered by your amoral embargo of Iraq, the how many tens of thousands of children and adults killed and maimed on an ongoing basis from US cluster bombs, from the millions of North Korea civilians who were directly targeted by the US military.

Given the US's evil and sordid past, there are just so many easily available examples.

In fact you seem to delight in the carnage wrought by the US.

Are they just Holy Land homeboys? Or, drifters that decided to settle down, since the Jews were turning the desert into another Las Vegas? It won't be the first time that some demographic, that needed a livable niche, followed Jews to their neighborhood.

How come you never say anything about the 11 million Muslims killed by Muslims since 1948?

No delight. I had no involvement. Nor do I have to lament anything. Let's just say the world has little remorse for a multitude of sins. And you want a mea culpa from me? Are you baiting one little Jew?

I did notice the date on the newpaper. Was that your birthday?

@coldjoint,
The one year old child was admitted on Sunday to Schneider Children’s Medical Center for Israel in Petah Tikva, and was returned after undergoing medical check-ups to a hospital in Gaza City.
Sources: Jerusalem Post, Haaretz et. al.

Quote:
Schneider Children's also receives patients from the Palestinian Authority and Jordan, and from as far away as Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe, thus fulfilling its mandate to serve as a “bridge to peace” in the region. Since its establishment in 1991, Schneider Children's has become recognized as an institution of medical and academic excellence.

The point is, you're in no position to lecture others on civilian victims, you've shown a callous disregard for all human life save American and Israeli.
