au, Actually, it's been my impression that the GOP have catered to the southern states with their bigotry to win the white votes. That has to change! IMHO, it's not one or two GOP senators. c.i.

The South was solidly democratic until the start of the civil rights movement. At that point the racists, white supremacists and the rest of the trash left the democratic party and joined their brethren in the republican party.
