The thread title made me laugh out loud - so funny!

I didn't know that Eva was with Drew Dad and Chai was there too!
jespah hasn't gotten enough voting done today, who are we voting for again?

OP - the right answer is: neither!

Oh yeah.
I was sitting on top of the washer, and kept it on spin cycle.

Actually, the right answer is...you ought to be hugely mad at yourself for having anything to do with either...and for thinking that you might not want to be mad at one of them.

They didn't just have sex...they had sex while you were in the house. TWICE!

Unless one of 'em actually takes a **** on your head, you have been dissed to the max.

Well, it's hot down here in the summertime, and you know, there's nothing else to do.

@Eva,
Well, there is the dashing from the air-conditioned house to the air-conditioned car to the air-conditioned mall.
But then you need a nap.

And that pretty much sums up summertime in Oklahoma.

@Eva,
Here too.

Can you imagine being pregnant, expecially being in labor during the summers around here, before air conditioning?

@chai2,
You mean back when almost all pregnant women were in their 20s?

I wore jeans in 100 degree weather when I was that age. And I didn't even have a working air conditioner in my car. Heat didn't bother me much. Now I avoid even going outside when it's over 90.

@Eva,
One thing that has stayed with me in seventeen years I've been back East is my ability to take the heat of the day.
Around here they start melting at 88°, I tell them I used to referee soccer games at 102°. I still don't care if the temps are in the 90s.

Okay---back to getting away from toxic people.......
Step one: Don't even ignore them. That takes too much energy.

Isn't Oklahoma where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain?

I bet it blows them vamps' dresses up.

@jespah,
Yes ma'am! The wind is about the only thing that keeps us from melting.*

I think the heat is much harder to take in places like New Orleans and Houston where the temperature is lower, but the humidity is very high and there's no wind.

*That, and tall iced drinks. <bats eyelashes> Bring me another lemonade, wouldja honey?

Yes. "lemonade"
Would that be the Gin lemonade, the Vodka lemonade or the Jack Daniels Lemonade??

yeah. Eva... gonna be 17 Labor Day Weekends ago I bought a one-way ticket to New York City.

I remember you had this little bitty baby boy back then....what year of college is he in now ? <sigh>

The song says "Turn around and they're four...."
I turned around and my kid was forty.

Where were we?
Oh yeah, advising.
Second thing you've got to do is buy a dress that's too expensive and too tight.
Walk through the restaurant district of your local town looking as if you are on your way to meet Brad Pitt (or fill in the blank).
Real men will be following you with their eyes.
You take it from there.

@FOUND SOUL,
I agree! I've never had a problem with fleas, though...it's the mosquitoes that get to me.

Summers are too hot here, and winters are too cold. But spring and fall are wonderful. It's green here in Tulsa, and I like the hills, rivers and lakes. It's a comfortable, mid-sized city that's easy to navigate and centrally located, which makes travel easier. Where do you live?
