Just wanted everyone to know that I've thoroughly enjoyed all the pictures and stories....

Wish I could have been there.....

I was so pleased to see my name on ehBeth's list....

Not only have I met ehBeth, but I have had the immense pleasure of meeting her beautiful dogs, Bailey and Cleo..... Miss Cleo allowed me the pleasure of holding on to the other end of her leash, as she lead me through the trails in the Catskills....

Osso, the "Tea Garden" pictures are so beautiful.... I would have loved to walk through the Tea Garden....

PaL

It was lovely there, PaL. It was my second time there; I visited when I was a teen (yikes, quite a while ago).

Lola, Only if you wear the San Francisco, A2K Gathering, golf cap. LOL
BTW, I'll be gone from August 31 to September 13 on a cruise between the Black Sea and BudaPest, so please plan any Gathering outside this period. Thanks, c.i.

We would LOVE to attend a Euro-Gathering (London, Paris, Berlin all sound good to me) but it will probably need to be next year...

...some of us work for a living (c.i. and Lola... )

Soooooooo, even though some of you are hooking it up next month, would anyone be willing to take on the challenge of some long-range planning (i.e. starting a new thread and throwing out some timetables for travel)?

Just an idea for the one (c.i. do you here me shouting?) who starts that threat:

there are cheap tickets from London (about $ 35 one way, if booked early) to our local airport ... and hotels/guest-houses here aren't expensive plus we have a salt-thermal spa!

I want/need for my sanity to go to Europe again sometime, and, as anybody who knows me would guess, I'd spend most of my time in Italy. But would love to meet a2kers somewhere more convenient for them and a treat for me. We'll see. But if someone starts a thread on a next year Euro gather, I'll certainly lurk, though a year and a half away may make more sense for me.
Already thinking, could it not be in July or August? Rather fond of late March early april/october... myself. Well, that all depends on where... See, already she gets opiniongiving...
and I don't even live there.

osso, Low season or mid-season makes alot of sense, because we can get flights and hotels cheaper. Somebody out there in Euroland has to start doing some "ground work." I like early planning too!

Planning a "mom and daughter" trip to Europe next year. Probably in May or June, after she graduates.

No tour. We're planning to rent accomodations privately, through a site like VRBO, maybe a week in London, a week in Paris and a week ... wherever. It would be great to meet like-minded people.
