Not me on a cruise never never never never. Never.
Heh. But I am a little unusual, most people love them.
I think the PDiddies took a nice cruise..
I can't take a steady diet of cruises, but once-in-awhile I can handle.
I might sign on to a Euro-gathering for 2005.
(I have a bias for the off-season with lower rates and smaller crowds. I would especially be interested in Ireland or Spain but am open to other possibilities)
As for cruises, I went on several when I was younger compliments of my uncle.
One of them was a six month Med cruise....I believe I puked in at least nine Mediterranean ports.
I'm hoping to torment Europeans again, sometime in '05.
Probably looking at France and Italy, but nothing is definite yet! (although I could be tempted by Ireland or Spain...) Still a long way off!

That's it. That's it! I'm not going!
But I might, if either of you would be there..
Jjorge, I wanna hear about your times in all those ports...
should you feel so inclined as to be descriptive..
Osso,
I was an 18 year old marine on a Med cruise.
We were all suffering from testosterone poisoning
and we drank like only college freshman and freshman servicemen do.
Notwithstanding the above we actually got to SEE and do some things.
I loved Barcelona...hung out for an evening with some university students and suddenly wished I hadn't dropped out of high school.
a good moment, then, in Barcelona...? Interested, osso.
Yeah, I thought margo was kinda used to being teased about her demeanor.

Definitely a good moment. I was intoxicated* with that big beautiful cosmopolitan city -the first city I had ever visited outside of the U.S.A.
Even got to see (from a distance, not an actual tour) the Sagrada familia
cathedral and the famous (gaudy? ) Gaudi style all over the city.
*Later I got intoxicated in the conventional way and threw up all down the front of my uniform while standing on the Ramblas, with people streaming by in both directions. Did I say I was 18? I was actually 17 1/2. It was early December of 1960.
We spent Christmas in Genoa. That's another story.
We want to hear that one too. Especially me, I am interested, somewhat, in Genoa and so was Dickens..
In 1960, I was 18, first year in college at Mount St. Mary's, which enabled me to live at home as it wasn't far away. Even so, couldn't afford it then, much less the year after that, thank goodness for the result - I got to go to the local university (famous in my high school for being a hot bed of communism, the nuns wouldn't send our transcripts there, period), still living at home, and working at the local hospital 30 hrs/week. Dumber than a doornail, I was, not re working, but just generally.
YES Margo, you have to come to Europe next year. We can travel with ease to any place of your choice to meet you (secure in the knowledge you can't bring That Cat)
I ready for another trip to Barcelona just to revisit the Gothic area, and roam its narrow streets; it's the next best thing to heaven.
Here's another vote for Barcelona.
I'd rather go somewhere I haven't been before, but would love returning to Catalonia to spend some time in Barrio GotÃc, La Sagrada Familia, and Las Ramblas.
jjorge's quote, "jj: We were all dumber then, weren't we?" But them were the "good old days."
