Notice this: I agree entirely with the NRA position on self-defense laws.

Perhaps you might forego continued blather about vegetables and flowers and address the substance of the thread.

(Actually the winking emoticon is a very useful tool. I became tired of being misunderstood when I'd make some humorous (to me) comment ... only to have the odd person respond angrily, or become offended, thinking I'd made some serious or derogatory remark ... which I honestly hadn't. Cultural differences & all that ... Anyway, the humble Wink saves a lot of unnecessary explaining, & for that I'm grateful ...)

OK, you agree entirely with the NRA position on self-defense laws.
I don't. Or what I know of the NRA's position, anyway. (remember I came here to talk about garlic?)
But then, gun ownership & self defence laws are not really important or pressing issues where I live.
And I'm really glad things are that way.

As for the "blather" about gardening ... I found that very interesting & informative!

You know its just a tad disquieting how you always come in and try to hijak threads. Well, I guess that, based upon past experience with thread displacement , we should just go along with it and try to keep it nice and civilized. Thats the librul way.
