@ossobuco,
How are you coping today?

Sigh.

@dlowan,
I'm very sad, and more lethargic than I remember being in a long time. Hard to get myself to bother with anything. I'll do whatever it is later.

Diane and I went for lunch yesterday, and I saw myself being quiet - like I couldn't bother to talk - and eating the meal was this big chore.

This part will pass, but I'll always miss her.

@ossobuco,
I'm also better, it's been a number of days.

I have my sparky moments this second week.

@Eva,
At this point it is a real I don't know what.
I get it now that she is gone. Took me a while.
I still can't stand it. This can make me want to scream.
I still have to deal with house stuff, which sends me into furls of pain.
But by now I need to pick up and move.
I'm doing that.

@ossobuco,
My heart goes out to you at this time. People that haven't had pets and the attachment one can develop, don't really understand.

I still mourn some pets I had quite a few years ago. They are loving friends who were at one time a part of the family.

I just found out about your loss Osso. I'm so sorry to hear the news about Katy. I can imagine how much life and love you brought to her in the past year or so since adopting her and how much she reciprocated in return. ((belated hugs))

Thanks all - just reread, it might be confusing, I didn't mean move from this place - but that I need to move around, do stuff, get myself back in gear, shape up.
Thanks, Tsary. This really knocked me for a loop; much as I knew ahead of time, I was still completely stunned.

I just answered emotionally and somehow cancelled it.

I'll just say Walgreen's lost the photos that I wasn't sure I wanted to see, but do now, as I knew I would.
This is a sock in the stomach, but not like losing her.

I still can't stand it, but am quieter.

@ossobuco,
Any chance that Walgreen's will find the photos? Blow after blow at the minute. Do take care of yourself, Osso, you must be emotionally drained at the moment. Thinking of you ...

@Tai Chi,
I'm figuring someone else got them, and they thought, huh, and tossed them. Ominous quiet from the store, and they're not easy to call as each time I've called, there's no one in the photo department (and so on).

It's an odd system now anyway, having to do with all the changes in photography and not all of us being caught up with them. I haven't managed to master unloading from my digital canon to my computer (doh!) but my last best non digital nikon is somehow defunct, so I picked up a drugstore camera, the kind with film that you turn the camera in to the store after shooting the photos. And then they send them out to be developed, hence the followup mess.
Well, I still have the first photos taken the same way, back when I first got Katy.
Thank goodness.

@ossobuco,
Any news from the store yet? Such a pity if the photos have been lost for good.

Does your digital camera have a memory card, and your computer a slot for a memory card? That's the way I put photos onto my laptop. Or occasionally via a cable that came with the camera. Both ways pretty simple.
