Sounds more like a "boy" thing to me. A mature male does not have this problem. A kid does!

No, it's actually a "fun" thing. You wouldn't understand.

kickycan - I don't think that you have any idea of what I do or don't understand!

There is a reason someone gets to be a moderator on a2k. They are generally wise people who understand a lot.

I'm a real man's man.

The other night I was all at my broad, "yo bitch. Fetch me a sandwich, and woman, make it swift."

5 minutes later, she puts it in front of me.

"MAYO? What's this?"

Now tomorrow, she be changing the oil in my ride.

I think internet dating is perfect for someone who doesn't want a relationship. Most men, if they had the option, would want an endless stream of casual sex, without a lifelong commitment. And that is exactly what internet dating provides them. If the internet dating trend continues as it is now, eventually women will have to conform to the way men want things to be, and long-term relationships will be the exception, rather than the rule.

What do you think?

I don't believe that someone would 'internet date' because they really don't want a relationship. I'm sure it might be true in some cases, but not from my own experience of meeting someone who I fell in love with online. It's simply a way to meet people you other wise would have not had the change to met if not for the internet.

Well girlfriend, my experiences with online chatting give me the impression that there are young men with girlfriends looking for an older (or another) woman just for no-strings sex (both real and cyber); married men looking for a "safe" affair (waaaay too many of those guys around); married men who are miserable in their marriages; and kids. Oh, there may be some out there who are worthwhile, but I've been online for over 8 years and this is what I've seen. Don't get me wrong, I'm not out there trying to find a guy online, but when you chat online and men find out you're single, it's amazing how the dialogue changes. I do find a difference in forums like this though. It's not like chatting.
